What do you know aboutDr. Annetra Piper?Annetra Piper has been a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for manyyears and prides herself on her commitment to the organization and hercommitment to serving others. Her daily mantra is to "make the lives ofchildren, adults, and the community better." She feels that she achieves thisthrough her work in Delta and the other organizations and causes shesupports. She is an author. She runs her own businesses. She is an outspoken,get-it-done sister who believes that everyone has a voice, but...if they don'tspeak up, she is not shy about asking One More Question to clarify matters!She is well-educated, which is a characteristic of a Delta woman. Annetra ishappily married to her college sweetheart, the mother of three incrediblechildren, and Nana to three adorable grandchildren.

What Is Annetra Piper'sVision For This Position?We will intentionally invest in memories through celebrations, activities,and events for our members, taking the time to acknowledge one anotherand build relationships. As a family and sisterhood, we will have fun withthe goal of knowing why the Memberships Services committee exists.Sisterhood and Service Go Hand-in-HandBut Fun and Fellowship are important, too!Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. revolves around service, scholarship,sisterhood, and social action, and it will be my honor to ensure that oursisters build relationships within the sorority. Sisterhood is extremelyimportant, and the best way to get to know our sisters better and buildrelationships is through service.

Busy People Get Things Done!I am proud and honored to serve my family and the community. Since I retired, or as Ilike to say, restructured my life, I have the time and energy to devote myself to doingthe things I love, giving back. In this sphere, I am on the Board of Directors of RAREPearls, Inc. I also serve as the Houston Chapter and National Community PartnershipsChair for Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. I am a greeter and minister within the PersonalMinistry at New Light Christian Center Church. I am also on the Southwest RegionJournalist team as the Editor-in-Chief. In my free time, I write grants for nonprofitorganizations and school districts. I also help people get their books published throughmy publishing company. Although I do a lot, I am organized and dependable and alwaysavailable and excited to participate in serving my sorority and its membership.
