2 | P A G E PROCEDURE: This document describes how to login to the VDA Security Training Portal and complete the required security training. VDA has partnered with Baroan Technologies and PII-Protect to provide all employees with access to Internet and Network Security training. All employees are expected to complete security training within 10 business days of their initial employment and on an annual basis. The methods used by hackers to gain unauthorized access to a company or personal device change all the time. As a company, VDA invest in and do our best to minimize the risk and reduce the chance that someone will gain access by employing several methods of defense using software and network security tools. While these methods and software tools are effective, the most common way someone can gain access with an employee’s consent. The bad guys try to take advantage of the employees’ good nature and natural tendency to help. It is for this reason that we are providing training on the newest threats and their methods of gaining access, to make sure that you are aware of what to be on the lookout for. With your help, we can ensure that our data and network is secured. Thank you for your vigilance and assistance with protecting our company!
3 | P A G E Security Portal Login Instructions To login to the security portal, please visit https://www.pii-protect.com/dashboard/welcome_screen or use the icon/shortcut on your desktop that looks like: Used the security training portal before…? Please login with your VDA email address. If prompted, please login with your Office 365 login.
4 | P A G E Training Instructions Once you have logged into the portal, the “Welcome Dashboard” should be displayed: Go to the top tab where it says “Training”. Select that tab
5 | P A G E Select the training titled “2024 Cybersecurity Training” by clicking on Watch. Then go back in and click on “Final Quiz.” After you have completed the security training, you will be asked to take a short quiz. You will need a score of 80% or better to pass and obtain your certificate. Please save a copy of the certificate for your records. IMPORTANT ACTION REQUIRED: Log back into Smarteru to complete the acknowledgment of completing this course- Don’t forget the last completion button. Questions/Feedback?
