This document is not just a reflection of ourachievements but a testament to the resilience, compassion, and unwavering commitment of ourcommunity in supporting those impacted by cancer.This year has been one of growth and transformation. Our mission to ensure that no one faces canceralone has driven us to expand our services, adapt to new challenges, and deepen our impact. Despite theuncertainties and hurdles posed by the ever-changing landscape of healthcare, our dedication toproviding a comprehensive support system for individuals and families navigating the complexities of acancer diagnosis has remained steadfast.We have seen an increase in participation across our programs, which include support groups,educational workshops, and wellness activities. Our innovative virtual programs have enabled us to reachmore individuals than ever before, breaking down geographic barriers and providing essential support tothose who might otherwise have been isolated. This shift has not only broadened our reach but has alsohighlighted the incredible adaptability and strength of our community.Our achievements would not have been possible without the generosity of our donors, the dedication ofour volunteers, and the expertise of our staff. I am continually inspired by the stories of hope andresilience shared by our members, and I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support from each ofyou. Your contributions have enabled us to enhance our programs, offer new services, and ensure thatour resources remain accessible to all who need them.Looking forward, we are excited to continue building on this strong foundation. We have ambitious plansto further integrate innovative technologies into our services, expand our outreach efforts, andstrengthen our partnerships within the healthcare community. This practice is integrated into allprofessionally facilitated services and programsoffered. In keeping with the community-orientednature of the organization, the CSC conducts anannual satisfaction survey. Results from this surveyindicate that the CSC continues to fulfill its missionof providing support, education, and hope to allthose who participate.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCEPROGRAMS149 NIGHTS$123,365of lodging support provided Granted to 77 individuals/familiesThe Cancer Support Community of Greater AnnArbor, with grant support from the AmericanCancer Society and the University of MichiganRogel Cancer Center, provided overnightaccommodations to cancer patients, theircaregivers and families who must travel fortreatment and need assistance with lodging.The Sprout Love Initiative at the Cancer SupportCommunity raises funds for the Sprout LoveFinancial Assistance Fund launched in the Fall of2018. The fund covers basic living expenses forindividuals who are experiencing financial hardshipas a result of cancer and its treatment.Sprout Love A study conducted in 2013 found that 42% ofparticipants reported a significant or catastrophicfinancial burden as a result of their cancer; 68% cutback on leisure activities, 46% reduced spending onfood and clothing, and 46% used savings to defrayout-of-pocket expenses. To save money, 20% tookless than the prescribed amount of medication,19% partially filled prescriptions, and 24% avoidedfilling prescriptions altogether.Lodging Program

Teamswork together to solve clues and hunt forlandmarks in a family-friendly team-basedroad rally. At the final destination,participants get to enjoy a tailgate-stylepost-race party with music, prizes, food,refreshments, costume, and cardecorating contests, and a raffle.Save The Date: May 10th, 2025The Cancer Support Community ofGreater Ann Arbor hosted the first in-person Flavors of Hope event onSaturday, February 10, 2024. This event,held at the Chop House, featured astrolling dinner, cocktails, and a liveauction with luxury vacation packages,wine lots, and more. THE BRIDESPROJECT1,326Visits from Brides The Brides Project is the Cancer Support Community’s social enterprise. Wedding dresses are donated toThe Brides Project from all across the country. Some are “pre-loved” – donated by brides who want to seethem dance another day, but most are donated directly from bridal salons and designers, so they arebrand new! The gorgeous bridal salon is ran primarily by volunteers and all funds raised by the sales ofthese gowns support the free programs offered at the Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor.$505,960 WAS RAISED FOR THE CANCERSUPPORT COMMUNITY 100Volunteers Donated4,000+ Hours790Dressed Donated
