A NOTE FROM LEADERSHIPI truly believe that every child should have that sameopportunity to achieve their best potential and it muststart with a solid foundation of reading skills. It isimportant to plant that seed early enough to supportongoing learning in other skills. Our board, staff and volunteer tutors arededicated to achieving our mission, opening doors to the future on a solidfoundation of reading skills andsupportive mentors. We have an impacton their lives, but just as important, theyhave an impact on ours by reaching theirtrue potential."I also believe that it is an obligation andright for those who have benefitted in thepast to pay forward for the betterment ofthe next generation. That powerfulcombination is what attracted me toParentis Foundation, and it is my greathonor to serve as the current President ofthe Board of Directors. John LamirandeBoard President"Growing up, I had the personal benefit of mentors whoencouraged my passion for learning and parents whosupported my love of reading. This powerful combinationlet me achieve the things I have, despite humblebeginnings.
