1HOURSTHE CAMPAIGN FOR MANSFIELD CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
Mansfield Christian School is ready to seize our moment intime and forever change the lives of students, parents, faculty, and community members. What began over 60 years ago with 35 students and three faculty hasgrown to over 870 and 143, respectively all in the same building. As theschool enters its seventh decade, it has developed a plan of action toexpand the footprint. After much prayer and research, it has becomeclear that we must launch what will be the most transformativecampaign in school history - a new high school, a new auditorium, anda new high school gymnasium. These structures are designed topursue excellence that reflects the very nature of the one true God. This comprehensive plan also includes renovation of the currentschool building and the reinvention of the educational experience forgrades PreK-8.We believe that such a transformative campaign is completely alignedwith our mission and the original design for Mansfield ChristianSchool. From the beginning, this school was meant for Kingdomimpact. It was built to serve as many Christian families as possible byteaching solid academics rooted in a biblical worldview.Giving our children a Christian education is the best hope we have forAmerica. For over 1,000 hours each year, we partner with the homeand church to give them the training necessary to impact our culture. Our community and our country need this campaign. If we are to besuccessful, every one of us must commit to both praying earnestly andgiving generously.I would ask that as you read through this publication, please think andpray about how you and/or your company can leave a legacy on earththat will last a lifetime and a heritage in heaven that will last foreternity. This is an extraordinary chance to be a part of something ofthis magnitude. Thank you for your faithful prayers and support of MCS. May the Lordbless you and may He continue to use our school for His glory. Dr. Cy J. BOLDLY DISTINCTMCS maintains a strong commitment to the truthof God’s Word, and we will not compromise thisposition for state funding, cultural trends, or theacademic pressures of special interest groups. Wewill not waiver from this bold distinction. Each grade level features distinct academics andprograms rooted in a biblical worldview whereteachers integrate God’s plan into every subject. In the last six years, academic options haveexpanded at MCS. In addition to collegepreparatory classes, MCS addressed the localemployment demand and job skills market byintroducing the STEM Academy, the multi-mediaprogram, and the Academy of Health Professions.Looking ahead the school plans to introduce theAcademy of Ministry and Missions and theAcademy of Business.MCS fosters a culture of spiritual growth anddiscipleship through programs like Scripturerecitation, the Student Discipleship Plan, andteacher training with Christian curricula. Studentretreats, chapels, and small groups ensure childrenfeel safe, loved, and mentored by godly rolemodels, solidifying MCS as a premier biblicaltraining center.PAGE 05

AsMCS developed a master plan to upgrade the current building, we received an unexpected one-million-dollar gift in 2022. This record donation set the expansion plans in motion and laid thefoundation for future growth. As a result of advocacy from state legislators in the spring of 2024,MCS was awarded a $1.5M grant for the facility expansion project from Ohio’s One-Time StrategicCommunity Investment Fund. This remarkable award, combined with a generous private donationto build a new access road to alleviate congestion for student pick-up, has inspired and stimulatedthe public launch of this exciting campaign. Shifting worldviews in recent years havefueled growing interest in Christian education.Today’s culture needs Christian schoolgraduates who lead with excellence, solveproblems through a biblical lens, and upholdGod’s standards. The community benefitsfrom leaders who integrate faith and work, inspiring purpose and hope, while the churchrelies on our graduates to disciple others, liveauthentically, and defend the faith.ADVANCING THE MISSIONPAGE 07Education is evolving both nationwide and inOhio, with the 2023 legislation marking thestate's largest expansion of educational choice.Every family now qualifies for scholarships, including those attending private schools likeMCS. In every classroom, in every chapelservice, in every conversation orexperience, may we be intentionalabout training students to beconfident of the truth, convicted tolead, and committed to Christ.
May we not waste even one of the1,000 hours we get every yearwith our children.
There will be an evident impact that 1,000 hours oftraining every year will have on our community. Wedecided several years ago that Christian schoolchildren should not have to give up an educationrooted in biblical worldview to get vocational training. This new high school will let us grow the MansfieldChristian Career Academy Program to be a cutting-edge feature among Christian schools; it is a value-added experience for the students and the communitythat is unlike anything else seen in education today. This is the second year for our Academy of HealthProfessions. The new STEM Academy started this falland students are benefiting from this hands-onlearning experience. We are excited to soon launchthe Business Academy and the Academy of Ministry &Missions. With the addition of a new high school, weexpect to see these programs continue to increasestudent enrollment. COMMUNITYPAGE 16We value integrity and a strong work ethic, which aligns perfectly with the valuesinstilled in graduates of Mansfield Christian School. The Biblical worldview taughtat MCS closely mirrors our Core Values. By hiring these graduates, we areinvesting in individuals who are not only highly capable but also share ourmission to honor and Glorify God in everything we do.John-Mark Young, President, Whitaker-Myers Wealth Managers, Ltd.
The renderings wereneat and a newbuilding could helpus with expansionand a bigger area forgym and chapel. TyberiousKochheiser, Class of 2030STUDENTSThe impact of 1,000 hours of biblical worldview trainingevery year cannot be overstated. In a culture thatbelieves both everything and nothing at the same time, modern education is caught in a crisis of its ownmaking. We are enriching our K-8 program and building a newhigh school where we can cultivate an excitement forlearning and a passion for the truth! A place wherestudents can discover God’s calling on their livesalongside friends and teachers who share theirworldview, and where students know they are safe, loved, and valued as humans made in God’s image. When students are trained to know the truth they canlive out their beliefs with great conviction. There mustalways be a clear connection at MCS between Christianfaith and knowledge and what children are learning inschool. Everything that’s true can be traced back to themind of God. When children understand that “all truthis God’s truth,” they can be confident in what they arelearning. PAGE 17What can a child learn in 1,000 hours? Theycan learn what matters. When children learnwhat God intended for them to learn, theircommitment to Christ is steadfast. The building will bebigger and will giveus more room togrow. With anauditorium, we cando more thingsrelated to musicand theater. Eden Cooke, Class of 2030

MCS continuesto do so by making a significantinvestment in salaries, benefits, workculture, and professional development. The 2024-25 school year marked thethird consecutive year that we haveincreased salaries by a minimum of 6%.The strides we have made in these areas aretransforming our team. Among the 19 newfaculty and administrators hired in 2024, thecumulative average years of experience is 16years. In fact, several of them left positions ofover 20 years in public schools to teach atMansfield Christian. We are calling these teachers to become theliving curriculum – modeling Christ andproviding exceptional care for every child. When you understand the dignity that Godplaced on each one of these children bymaking them in His image, you don’t wasteeven one hour in teaching them life’s mostimportant lessons. Give us 1,000 hours to teach the Truth and see what happensAshley Carr, TeacherWhen I chose to work at MCS 17 years ago, I knew I would be making afinancial sacrifice. During these 17 years, there have been many changes. Onethat stands out is the changes to teacher benefits and salaries. These havebeen such a gift! Retirement was not an option for a single teacher like me, butI can now say it is. I feel seen, cared for, and respected.
