Message 1
Greetings From the Bishop…. To my New Jersey Conference Family, Supervisor Crenshaw and I are most appreciative of the manner in which we have been received in New Jersey. As your Episcopal Leadership, we are excited about the vision God has given us for the North East Episcopal Area and it is refreshing to see that New Jersey is already “Lifting the Standard” in serving this present age. As your Bishop, I stand before you with a heart full of gratitude and joy as we gather to conduct the business of the 151st Session of the New Jersey Annual Conference. We anticipate with great expectation Holy Ghost Spirit driven worship services, practical, powerful and informative teaching and the warmth of fellowship amongst the body of Believers. As we commence Holy Conferencing, let us celebrate the rich tapestry of our annual conference traditions that shall be woven together with fresh new insights, faith, and the love we have for the work of the church and one another. The times in which we are living are trying at best, however let us never forget the strength within us that comes from unity and the power of our shared purpose in serving our Risen Savior Jesus the Christ. May we continue to uplift one another and shine our lights brightly in dark world as we continue to walk in faith. From Your Chief Pastor, Bishop George D. Crenshaw #103

151st SESSION NEW JERSEY ANNUAL CONFERENCE Thursday Morning Worship May 22, 2025 9:30 A.M. Rev. Dr. George W. Maize, IV, Presiding Processional …………………………………………………... ―Holy, Holy, Holy‖ Musical Prelude…………………………………………………..……...Musicians Call to Worship The Psalmist declares: "Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song." (Psalm 95:1–2) Today, as one unified body, we gather to encounter God's presence in worship—casting aside distractions and raising our hearts in praise. Today, we boldly declare our continuing covenant with Christ, remembering His sacrifice and embracing the renewed life His grace offers us. Let these Scriptural truths guide our worship and further unite us in faith. Together, let us now worship our mighty God in the beauty of His holiness. Amen Invocation Almighty God, we come before You in this sacred moment, we acknowledge how Your Spirit moves among us, inviting us to declare our trust and reliance on Your grace. We remember that, throughout Scripture, we are called to respond to Your loving invitation with songs of adoration and commitments of faith. We now stand ready to experience that divine closeness, knowing that You hear our prayers and answer in times of need. May Your presence fill this place and transform our hearts as we worship You together. Ignite within us a passion to celebrate consistently, to draw strength from Your eternal promise, and to boldly proclaim Your love. All honor, glory, and praise be to You, O God. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

HYMNS Holy, Holy, Holy Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty Early in the morning Our song shall rise to Thee Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty God in three persons Blessed Trinity! Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide Thee Though the eye of sinful man; Thy glory may not see Only Thou art holy; There is none beside Thee Perfect in power, in love and purity Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty All Thy works shall praise Thy name; In earth and sky and sea Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty God in three persons Blessed Trinity Oh God in three persons, Blessed Trinity! Amen This Is My Father’s World This is my Father's world, And to my listening ears All nature sings, and round me rings The music of the spheres. This is my Father's world; I rest me in the thought Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas; His hand the wonders wrought. This is my Father's world, The birds their carols raise, The morning light, the lily white, Declare their maker's praise. This is my Father's world; He shines in all that's fair In the rustling grass I hear Him pass; He speaks to me everywhere. This is my Father's world. O let me ne'er forget That though the wrong seems oft so strong; God is the ruler yet. This is my Father's world; why should my heart be sad? The Lord is King; let the heavens ring! God reigns; let the earth be glad Amen
Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing Come Thou Fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing Thy grace; Streams of mercy never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues above. Praise the mount I’m fixed upon it; Mount of God’s unchanging love. Here I raise my Ebenezer, hither by Thy help I’m come; And I hope by Thy good pleasure, safely to arrive at home. Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God. He to rescue me from danger, interposed His precious blood. O to grace how great a debtor, daily I’m constrained to be. Let that grace Lord like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to Thee. Prone to wander Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love; Here’s my heart Lord, take and seal it, Seal it for Thy courts above. Amen Lift Him Up How to reach the masses, men of every birth? For an answer Jesus gave the key, And I, if I be lifted up from the earth I’ll draw all men unto me Refrain: Lift Him up, Lift Him up, Still He speaks from eternity. And I, if I be lifted up, from the earth I’ll draw all men into Me. O the world is hungry for the living bread, Lift the Savior up for men to see. Trust Him and do not doubt the words that He said, I’ll draw all men unto Me. Refrain: Lift Him up by living, as a Christian ought, Let the world in you the Savior see, Then men will gladly follow Him Who once taught, I’ll draw all men unto me.
All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name All hail the power of Jesus’ name! Let angels prostrate fall; Bring forth the royal diadem And crown Him Lord of all. Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all. Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race; Ye ransomed from the fall. Hail Him Who saves by His grace, And Crow Him Lord of all. Hail Him Who saves by His grace, And Crow Him Lord of all. Sinners who’s love can ne’er forget, the worm-wood and the gall. God spread your trophies at His feet, And crown Him Lord of all. God spread your trophies at His feet, And crown Him Lord of all. Let every kindred every tribe, on this terrestrial ball, To Him all majesty ascribe, And crown Him Lord of all. To Him all majesty ascribe, And crown Him Lord of all. Amen
When Morning Gilds the Skies When morning gilds the skies, My heart awaking cries. May Jesus Christ be praised! Alike at work and prayer. To Jesus I repair, May Jesus Christ be praised! When’er the sweet church bell, Peals over hill and dale, May Jesus Christ be praised! O hark to what it sings, As joyously it rings, May Jesus Christ be praised! The night becomes as day, When from the heart we say, May Jesus Christ be praised! The powers of darkness fear When this sweet chant they hear, May Jesus Christ be praised! Ye nations of mankind, In this your concord find, May Jesus Christ be praised! Let all the earth around, Ring joyous with the sound, May Jesus Christ be praised! Go Ye Therefore and Teach All Nations Go ye therefore and teach all nations, go, go, go Go ye therefore and teach all nations, go, go, go Baptizing them in the Name of the Father And Son and Holy Ghost, go, go, go If you love Me, really love Me, feed My sheep If you love Me, really love Me, feed My sheep And Lord, I'll be with You forever and ever Until the ends of the world, go, go, go
