CORDELIA | NUDE OASIS Circular recycling; a place where waste does not exist Cordelia exists from a place where our Kiaz (wheat straw) and Iola (PU leather) bags once stood,using remnant material left over from their creation. a promotion of circular recycling using nontoxic redyes.Why is circular recycling so important? it allows us to find a beneficial reuse for materialwithin the community where it is generated. The material that would have otherwise beendisposed of in the landfill circulates right back into the community it was generated from, to beused again.Cordelia shows that something beautiful can come from waste, a part of the overreachingobligation that we all have within the fashion industry to be more mindful of the environment welive in.KIAZ IOLA

The brand also dedicates itself as part of itsmission to provide real life opportunities to young personswho otherwise face barriers to access within the creativeindustry. Social Impact and helping to challenge inequalitiesis important to us. For this LFW campaign we decided to collaborate with Bristol based specialist creative education providerBoomsatsuma; a specialist training organisation that hasbeen connecting students to the creative industries with itscreative and digital education programmes since 2008. Itoffers courses at Key Stage 5 (post-16 college) withprogression into undergraduate level degrees. Our collaboration meant that we could offer Boomsatsumastudents the opportunity to produce our LFW campaignmaterials ; BTS Campaign Video, Editorials & Product Shots(refer to our Look Book). An exciting real life opportunity toshowcase their talent at the highest level that in turn canassist them in being able to show 'requisite experience'often required to attain jobs as new entrants to the jobmarket in the creative industry. How can a talented young person show 'experience' in acompetitive job market if they are never given theopportunity? We aim to keep trying to change his outdatedbut real outlook. We are delighted with the results, the quality of work andprofessionalism of the young students and the supervisingteam at Boomsatsuma during this campaign. This is a creditto the valued work that Boomsatsuma are doing and welook forward to future and ongoing collaborations withthem. We would like to thank the campaign team at Boomsatsumafor making this collaboration a great success and forcapturing our brand as imagined.
