brandiBartushDirector of Operations and MemberServicesGreater Pittston Chamber of CommerceWhat has the Amplify leadership experience meant to you?How will you use what you’ve learned in the future? As you complete the Amplify experience, what goals are you settingfor yourself going forward?Simply put... it has helped me to remember to be the best version of myself that I can be. I've beenreminded that I am so blessed to be surrounded by people who believe in me, help me grow andsupport me in not only my career, but in my everyday life. I am grateful for this opportunity to have met some amazing, strong and beautiful women andconnect and become closer to those who I have known.Set goals, work hard, and inspire determination. Remember to say Yes to opportunities but know it'sokay to say No when it's too much! Great leaders are confident in themselves, connected toothers, committed to purpose, and emotionally courageous. This course has taught me all of thesepoints and MORE! Don’t place restrictions on my willingness to serve. Seize opportunities. Say yes to learningexperiences that strengthen both myself and my organization.
KathrynBondiCreative DirectorPosture InteractiveWhat has the Amplify leadership experience meant to you?How will you use what you’ve learned in the future? As you complete the Amplify experience, what goals are you settingfor yourself going forward?Meeting these women and hearing their stories has been an incredibly inspiring journey for me.This program pushed me out of my comfort zone to help me grow personally and professionally inways I could not have imagined when I began in August. I cannot imagine my life without theconnections I have formed with these awesome leaders and I am excited to see how we continueto grow outside Amplify. The emotional intelligence session was truly one of the most valuable experiences that I know I willcontinuously implement in the future. I am someone that does not like creating conflict, but I alsowant to stand firm in my beliefs. This session gave me the tools to accomplish both while makingmy voice heard. I am aiming to be more confident in my fairly new leadership position while owning the role ofguiding and inspiring the creative team. I feel that Amplify has given me the tools to set goalswithin my team on a professional level while setting goals for myself on a personal level like runninga creative series, writing a book, or even becoming a morning person!
tanyaBrownRealtorChristian Saunders Real EstateWhat has the Amplify leadership experience meant to you?How will you use what you’ve learned in the future? As you complete the Amplify experience, what goals are you settingfor yourself going forward? The Amplify Leadership experience and Leadership overall has been an extremely wonderful experience, life changingreally. While Core showed you your community as a whole and why and how you should want to be a part of improvingit, Amplify provided the roadmap on how to get there. Amplify was different because you’re looking at you as anindividual, focusing on how you can be the best version of yourself. I never really gave the time in my personal life tothink how can I be the best version of myself, rather focusing on what others in my life needed. I feel at times like I'vebeen told since I was a teenager and this was a space where I was really able to sit and to think about what is wrongand right for me. It was a safe space where I came to realize that we all as women have similar struggles, and the valuein supporting each other whenever we can. Having done both programs back to back, I will always think of my life interms of before Leadership and after Leadership. BL (before leadership) I had goals and ambitions, but no belief thatthey could be accomplished. AL, I still have some doubt, but a greater ability to move forward in uncomfortablesituations (public speaking or going on boards/committees where I know no one) for the things important to me. Well, I already have believe it or not! I recently really advocated for myself for something I wanted for years. One weekin I knew in my heart that it was not a good fit. In fact, it was pretty bad. BL I would have not said anything, not asked todiscuss my concerns. Now, nothing changed and sadly I had to leave after 3 months, but I had the confidence to do sobecause of the program, knowing I deserve better and that there will be a better fit helping others someday. I wouldalso never really go to events by myself or sign up for committees if I did not know anyone. Since Leadership, I just said, Iam going to try everything once and make the best it. Amplify and Core helped a lot with my communication skills andconfidence.Well, my husband (who was my generous sponsor for both programs)and I have discussed me starting online gradschool next January. Or, I am going to go back to full-time employment in the non-profit sector. My main 2025 goal is toanalyze everything I do and only devote the time to a few things of which I am really supportive. This year, I realized thatit’s expensive to attend all these galas and events, and I can't be everyone for everybody if I am going 24/7. I used tothink that was selfish or vain BL, but now I see I can't pour from an empty cup, or if I have my pockets turned out like theMonopoly man. My life goal is to have a non-profit providing housing assistance to the homeless. That's been a goal for30+ years. I still don't have any idea on how to fund it, but thanks to Leadership I have a better idea on how to make itwork. I definitely have learned a ton on what not to do.

I learned the importance of anemotionally intelligent approach to handling difficult conversations, how to communicate with myteam and find out their "love Language". This experience also highlighted the power of sharing myown story, allowing others to see me as who I am without making myself small. In the future, I will continue to use the lessons learned from Amplify by approaching challengeswith emotional intelligence, leading with empathy, and grounding my decisions in my values. Continue to refine my ability to navigate difficult conversations with clarity. Use my ownexperiences to inspire and motivate others. Set aside time for myself to better myself.
jacquelineEovitchAssociate Director of Admissions,Communications, and Special ProjectsWilkes UniversityWhat has the Amplify leadership experience meant to you?How will you use what you’ve learned in the future? As you complete the Amplify experience, what goals are you settingfor yourself going forward?Being in the Amplify Leadership program helped me to learn that I am not alone in my experiences as awoman and a mother in the workforce who is trying to balance many different things. This Amplify class is amix of extremely busy women, mothers, wives, leaders, sisters, daughters, and so much more. It was an honorto be among them and to share our experiences so that we feel validated in our successes and strugglesthus far. Prior to joining this program, at times I would feel guilty for taking care of myself first and putting myneeds above others. Now, I know that's the priority and this will actually help us all become better leaders. I'm now equipped with the tools I need to understand the people I'm working with on a deeper level. Now,when a hard conversation needs to happen, I have the tools to face it, head on. Defining my core values willhelp me to revisit them in times of uncertainty, so that I can make decisions that will encourage growth andincrease opportunities for learning. More than anything, I feel so validated in all of my feelings thus far in mycareer. It feels harder for women because it actually is harder for women. Learning to lead from a place ofempathy and compassion toward other women is critical as we make space for other female leadersthrough our current roles. It's really exciting to know that we can empower other women, simply by givingthem a chance, listening to them and understanding their struggles. Within the next 6 months to a year, I'd like to demonstrate my leadership skills on my current team in theMarketing Communications Department at Wilkes University. I'll continue to tackle projects that are outsideof my job description to show my versatility and skills as a communications professional. Alongside this, it'simportant that I maintain my boundaries as a wife and mother. Spending time with my young childrenbreathes new life into every experience we do together. I would also like to stay involved with the AmplifyAlumni Council, as I see this as a tremendous opportunity for women. In the coming months, I will take whatI've learned and apply it toward finishing my MBA, as well. Once I finish this, I'd like to consider anotheropportunity to better myself such as becoming more involved in the community or teaching.

I've heard so many wonderful and positive things aboutLeadership Northeast for several years and wanted to participate in one of their programs for along time. I can't describe the gratitude I feel because I got to connect with such community-minded, driven women. One of our speakers said, "Women supporting women is a rather new concept," but I believe it is aconcept that will only continue to grow as Amplify hopefully grows and expands! It was amazing to feel welcomed by women whom I never would've been able to meet were itnot for this program. I only hope I can pay it forward in the future.I will strive to develop and implement policies in my workplace that focus on whole-health andwellbeing. I will also use the relationships I've built to better the community, grow my personal andprofessional network, and stay accountable.I want to continue to grow my confidence in my leadership role and all of my other relationships. Iwant to continue taking charge of areas of my life that I've neglected for a long time, and allowmyself to feel joy.
maryKroptavichDeputy City Administrator/Main Street ManagerCity of PittstonWhat has the Amplify leadership experience meant to you?How will you use what you’ve learned in the future? As you complete the Amplify experience, what goals are you settingfor yourself going forward? The Amplify Leadership experience has been incredibly transformative for me. It was amazing to meet and learn aboutother inspiring women in our area who are in leadership roles. Building connections and friendships with these incredibleleaders has been a rewarding part of the journey—knowing we share similar goals and challenges has created a truecamaraderie. The plethora of knowledge I gained from the speakers has been invaluable. Each one brought uniqueinsights and perspectives that have already had a positive impact on my personal and professional growth. Fromleadership strategies to self-development tools, everything I learned was beneficial and practical. It’s an experience thathas not only strengthened my abilities as a leader but also reinforced the importance of community, collaboration, andcontinued learning.Through the Amplify Leadership experience, I gained valuable insights that I’m eager to incorporate into my daily lifeand leadership practices. Dr. Keisinger’s strategies for having difficult conversations were particularly impactful. Learninghow to approach these situations with clarity, empathy, and confidence has provided me with a framework I plan to usein both my professional and personal interactions. Additionally, the CAIRN practices resonated deeply with me. They’vegiven me a tangible way to align my actions with my values and foster more positive and productive relationships. A bigtakeaway for me has been breaking the habit of negative self-talk. I want to actively work on this, as I’ve come tounderstand how powerful self-awareness and positive reinforcement can be in shaping my mindset and confidence.Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue building on the friendships I’ve made through this experience. These connectionshave already enriched my life, and I know they will continue to grow. One of the most significant realizations I’ve had through this journey is how often I tend to focus on the needs of otherswhile neglecting my own. Whether it’s in my professional or personal life, I naturally prioritize ensuring that everyonearound me is supported, happy, and thriving. While this quality stems from a place of compassion and care, I’ve cometo understand that it often leaves little time or energy for me to nurture my own growth and well-being. Moving forward,my primary goal will be to take all that Dr. Keisinger has taught and break it down into manageable, actionable steps, focusing on one step at a time. Instead of trying to tackle everything at once, I will allow myself the grace and space towork through these strategies thoughtfully and consistently. By breaking her lessons into smaller, actionable steps, I canensure that I’m not only working towards becoming a better leader but also nurturing my own personal development. It’sa journey of balance—continuing to care for others while finally giving myself permission to care for me.
