Hewas the eldest of 7 children born to the late AmosWhite Sr and Harriett Jones White. He was known bymany as “Beaver”. He graduated from ST Elmo HighSchool in 1968, where he met his late wife Lettie SewellWhite, and they later married in 1977. Amos had asuccessful career in welding at VT Halter Marine. Hethen moved to plumbing and construction with CropConstruction. His dedication and skill in these tradesleft a lasting impact on his colleagues and the industry.With his warm smile and open arms, he welcomedeveryone into his home. Amos’ impact extendedbeyond his family. He used his extensive knowledge ofplumbing and construction skills in countlesscommunity projects. His work was not only also aboutconnecting with people, but also ensuring theircomfort. His toolbox held not only tools but knowledgeand willingness to help. Amos will be dearly missed and fondly remembered byhis children: Tomeka (Wayne) Montgomery, Eric(Tasha) Sewell, Solie (Jessica) White and Rhoda(Chelsea) White-Bell, his siblings: Harold White,Marvin White Sr, Larry White Sr, Denise Coleman,Veronica Gallery and Arthur White; aunts, uncles,nieces, nephews, a host of grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, cousins, and friends.
