o to school and then get a job. In a nutshell, this is what every parent or college advisor repeatsso much that it should be printed on their forehead. However, they have no clue how we will takethat advice. The younger adult generations, Millennials and Gen Z, have adopted a newprofessional lifestyle – Being comfortable in moving out of the uncomfortable. BIGGER WINGS FOR YOUNGERGENERATIONS by Sarah Correa-DibarA reminder of the shift in professional attitude with the Gen Z and Millennials andhow they’re ditching the Job and keeping the Career.Authentic Insider | Page 15 GWritten By Sarah Correa-Dibar, Gen Z POV

Page 16

On TikTok (I know, how very Gen Z of me), I noticed I see moreentrepreneurs or businesswomen and men with their owncreative side hustles more than I see young professionals whowork in corporate offices. I’m not just talking about theinfluencers. I’m also talking about all the new businesses thatare on the come up, such as Poppi soda, Culted news, andTopical beauty. Gen Zers are known to be the most creativeand purpose-driven generation, and we’re also the moreindependent generation of all. Millennials are the generationwho grew into technology, which helps them know how to setthemselves up to successfully start something of their own.Going back to the topic of our dear influencers, they deservemore credit for their hard work – because trust me, it’s not onlylooking pretty for the camera. No older generation would haveeven dreamt of making this their main source of income. I eventhought it was crazy when I was younger. However, this is thelifestyle of an entrepreneur. You’re the creator of your ownproduct and have full responsibility of getting money into yourbank account all by yourself. I make creative content on myTikTok and tried to make it a second form of income onceupon a time, but let me tell you – it takes a lot of dedication tobe filming every second of your week - yes, even on theweekend. I have a friend who works a corporate job and she’s one of theonly young employees. Most of her coworkers are old enoughto have grandchildren, which intimidated her at first, and thenshe got to know them. She learned that her coworkers havebeen working at this company for years without a collegeeducation, meaning they started at the very bottom of thecompany and made their way up. This story has stayed withme ever since my friend told this to me because I realized thatlogic rarely exists now, at least not with my generation. Noneof my friends of my generation would ever stay at a job theyare not completely satisfied in. If they’ve grown tired of theirposition or felt as if they weren’t going to move up the ladderin their company, they left or at least started plotting how andwhen they would leave. The number of months you worked inyour position stated on your resume is slowly losing relevance, and young professionals are more keen to hop onto the nextbest thing. Even employers know job-hopping is all the ragenow. According to an article by Forbes, “One CareerBuildersurvey shared employers expect 45% of their newly hiredcollege grads would remain with the company for under twoyears, and the study showed that by age 35, about 25% ofyoung employees would have worked five jobs.” I think job-hopping makes us fearless. None of my friends of my generation would everstay at a job they are not completely satisfied in. Authentic Insider | Page 16

Page 17

It’s also common for young-professionals in their mid-to-latetwenties and early thirties to have a higher-stakes leadershiprole than before. Millennials and Gen Zers are more confidentin their abilities to apply to positions typically known to begiven to professionals hitting their late-forties – and theyexecute them greatly. Conference rooms are now being filledwith young minds, and so are courtrooms with youngprosecutors, boardrooms with young creative directors, conferences and younger chief officers. The glass ceiling foryoung professionals is close to a breaking point, as dreamsand aspirations of being a “top dog” are more available to theunderdogs. I want to remind my generation and the one before about thewave of change we are bringing into the professional world. We’re inserting our Bambi-eyed, fresh and untouchedcreativity and willpower into every office and meeting room allwhile inspiring the younger generations who are still in school, currently being taught to “Go to school and then get a job.” Ifyou’re feeling stumped, mistreated, or yearning for a placewhere you can let your mind and yourself feel appreciated, Iwant you to remember your generational worth and the wingsyou grew into. The glass ceiling for young professionalsis close to a breaking point, as dreamsand aspirations of being a “top dog” aremore available to the underdogs. Authentic Insider | Page 17

The Real ArtIs HereI was born and raised in the Bronx but now call Brooklyn, NY home. I identify as a“Nuyorican” with gratitude for my grandparents who migrated to NYC during the 50s forbetter opportunities. Growing up in-between two cultural identities created confusion andconflicts to navigate. Adverse childhood experiences of witnessing poverty, drug addiction, community violence and domestic violence led me to search for strength and protectionthrough spirituality and the arts. I embarked on a healing process to understand andtransform pain from a young age.As a teen, I decided to pursue an arts education and auditioned for acceptance to aspecialized public performing arts high school in Manhattan, called Fiorello H. LaGuardia, the “fame” school. At LaGuardia, I gained a basic foundation in all art mediums: Painting(oil, watercolor, acrylics), darkroom and digital photography, fashion, graphic design, ceramics, etc. It was there that I had my first cathartic experiences in the flow state of artmaking and developed a healthier sense of identity, self-expression and community. I wenton to pursue higher education degrees in creative arts therapy."It was there thatI had my firstcatharticexperiences inthe flow state ofart making anddeveloped ahealthier senseof identity, self-expression andcommunity."Authentic Insider | Page 20

Currently, I’ve been working in group private practicewith other creative arts therapists (art, music,dance/movement and drama therapists) in the heartof the DIY Brooklyn arts scene and have launched ourKAP program. Prior to that I delivered a trauma-informed curriculum in schools addressingcommunity and domestic violence for students inmiddle and high schools. I did prevention andintervention work with at-risk youth as well asincarcerated youth empowering my younger innerchild. I have also been featured in a Bushwick Dailyarticle about my community events offering coloringactivities while consuming Kava tea and herbal elixirs, which had sparked my interest in using plantmedicines to enter altered states for deep healing. On the next page, you will find the lyrics to anoriginal song I wrote about my journey as a“Wounded Healer.” The concept of the “WoundedHealer” archetype symbolizes a guide who hasundertaken the work of reframing negative corebeliefs about the self and negative beliefs about theworld, caused by the impact of trauma. TheWounded Healer offers the medicine from thiswisdom to guide others on that same path oftransformation. On page 23, is a video of meperforming the song. During the pandemic lockdown,Ketamine received breakthrough FDAapproval to be prescribed for off-labeluse for treating chronic depression.Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)emerged as an innovative treatmentcombining the neuroplastic benefits ofthe medicine with the work ofintegrating insights from thepsychedelic effects. I completed trainingat the top Ketamine therapy start-upsto be able to offer KAP in my work withclients.

differently. Karen struck me asneither interesting nor creative orunique, so I wanted to spell it inan odd way that was outside thenorm.I acquired the last name Grossduring an early phase of my life. Ihad a complicated childhood, soby the time I reached my earlytwenties, I decided to change myfamily name to something whichdid not belong to my bloodrelatives. The name Karen Gross hasaccorded me a remarkable career. It's a name in which I have hadexceptional success in writing, public speaking and helpingothers through my various roles ineducation. But in recent years, it'sbecome significant for all thewrong reasons.Growing up inMassachusetts, Inever had a majorproblem with my firstname, but I alwayswanted to spell it LIn my opinion, the "Karen" memehas taken on a profoundsignificance in our society. Itoriginally referred to privileged whitewomen, who used that privilege todenigrate others. Since then, thetrope has expanded and has beenused in a variety of contexts, virtually all of them negative. It's been used as a way ofdescribing a particular stereotypicalwhite women, who has short, blondehair and always pushes ahead orseeks the attention of managers, sothey can get their way. They're oftenreferred to as individuals whodisplay unbelievable disrespect andenter into screaming matches withother people, as though that's theway to get what one wants.I believe in the need to call out whiteprivilege, but what troubles me isthat I am none of the things thatdescribed a typical "Karen," but hereI am, called Karen, still dealing withnegative comments related to myname."I believe in the needto call out whiteprivilege, but whattroubles me is that Iam none of thethings that describeda typical "Karen," buthere I am, calledKaren,."WHAT'S IN ANAME? I first noticed my name was gaining attention, not just online but with people with whom Iengaged, in 2019. I can't recall the first time Isaw the "Karen" trope, but I do rememberseveral people saying to me: "Bummer, yourname matches a horrible meme." I thought:"Well, this is not exactly what one wants." Itstruck me as ironic as something as personallyoffensive as this was taking off socially.Friends told me the meme seemed to besticking, but initially I didn't believe it would lastthat long. It was only in 2020, when I startedreading in-depth analysis about the meme inpublications of considerable repute, I thought:"Hang on a second, this trend is notdisappearing."Since the meme blew up, I have had to fend offnegative comments about my name constantly.I've had people, who don't know my name, sayto me: "Oh that's a Karen moment" or "That'sKaren behavior." I always stop and say: "Bevery careful, my name is Karen and that memeis a very hurtful one. You should be cautiousbefore you toss words around like you would asalad."In my opinion, how you use other people's nameshas everything to do with their identity. I havespecialized in trauma throughout my career ineducation and one of the things I believe isdifficult for children to handle is when their identityfeels challenged. In my eyes, your name is tied to who you are andhow you view yourself. So to demean a particularname is offensive. I believe that we subscribe ahost of characteristics to several names, includingracial, ethnic and gender identity. Maybe weshould be careful about that.I was recently browsing social media when I cameacross a post which I considered to beproblematic. It suggested younger students do nothave the right to complain about their researchexperience, because they have access to theinternet, which the older generation did not. After I expressed my opinion about that particularpost, I received a comment from a teacher saying:"Acting like Karen again." I think it's unbelievablethat another educator would say something likethat. I found it very bothersome that he could saysomething which was, in my view, so ill-informed."In my eyes, your name istied to who you are andhow you view yourself. Soto demean a particularname is offensive.."Authentic Insider | Page 26

Page 27

For most of my emails and signatures, I nowsign off with the letter K, instead of my firstname. I recently thought about what promptedme to do that and I realized that I am just tiredfrom the teasing, the harassment and theinferences that come from the name Karen.I have considered changing my name, but Ithink that at my age, with the number of booksand projects associated with "Karen Gross",maybe instead of replacing it I will just continueto use the initial. While I am not prepared to legally change myname again, I am keen on defending how wetreat people and not diminishing what one iscalled. The "Karen" meme reminds me of kidswho get harassed or teased because theirname may not sound common or maybe difficultto pronounce. Those students feel horrible when they getteased because of their name. Yes, I am anadult. Yes, I understand that those who sharethe meme are not referring to me personally. But I still find it offensive and feel the phrase isoften used without attention. There's a phrase people have used for ages:"Sticks and stones may break my bones, butwords will never hurt me." I feel that idiom isinaccurate; words can hurt and I believe we wouldbe wise not to use certain words, includingnames, in a deprecatory way.I am sufficiently old; so I am no longer scared tocall people out on a misuse of my name. Isuppose that with age comes a certain freedomthat one might not otherwise have. Thus, I dospeak up when people use my name in aderogatory way.To me, using the meme is a mean thing to do.Some see it as harmless and funny, but I think weoften don't give enough attention to the words weuse and their impact on people.I believe we would be wise as a nation and as aworld to be more thoughtful in the way we refer topeople, whether by name, category, status, gender, race, or ethnicity. If discussing thissubject opens the door to people pausing, wherethey would not have paused before, when theysay something about someone's name, then it'sbeen well worth it."To me, using the meme is amean thing to do. Some see itas harmless and funny, but Ithink we often don't giveenough attention to the wordswe use and their impact onpeople."Authentic Insider | Page 27

Healing theWomb Pain-Body for theBenefit of All By: Naomi Love, Wise Womb Medicine Path™ Authentic Insider | Page 33

o you experience physical, emotional, ormental symptoms related to your menstrualcycle? These symptoms can manifest as PMS, ovariancysts, fibroid, endometriosis, PMDD, infertility, painful sex, mood swings, depression, orirritability. There can be many causes of these symptoms, including diet, lifestyle, and womb placement. What I want to speak about here is the wombpain-body. It is also known as the feminine pain-body, which can be described as an energeticresidue of the collective experience of wombcarriers throughout history. Our ancestors weren’t allowed to speak theirtruth, share their voice, and say ‘no,’ most oftenforced to go along with or submit to theirhusbands’ or family duties. Womb carriers were considered property. Theywere not Sovereign, meaning they did not haveagency over their bodies or lives. This unhealed aspect of the womb pain-bodycan manifest today as symptoms associated withyour menstrual cycle, and the discord we arecollectively experiencing in our world today. You can see this displayed in the way we relate with ourplanet, ourselves, and one another without respect for lifein all beings. The womb is where life begins for all of us, the startingpoint for our journey here on Earth. Located at the centerof the pelvic bowl, the womb represents the unconsciousand holds within it the memories of lifetimes lived, bothyour own and your ancestors. The womb pain-body is a field of unhealed, unconsciousenergy that is woven into the collective fabric, holding theunhealed wounds of all those who came before you.The womb wound has been perpetuated by thepatriarchy for millennia, and we now have the opportunity, along with the ingredients needed, to stop perpetuatingthese wounds and heal them together for the benefit of all. The first step to healing the womb pain-body is tobecome aware of its existence. When you become aware of how some of the pain you’reexperiencing is coming from womb wounds, you can startto discern what is really your pain vs pain you’ve inheritedfrom the collective or your lineages. This helps you to not take it so personally, setting you freefrom heavy emotions and self-blame that make thehealing "This unhealed aspect ofthe womb pain-body canmanifest today assymptoms associated withyour menstrual cycle, andthe discord we arecollectively experiencing inour world today. Only when you are nolonger manipulatedconsciously orunconsciously by thepatriarchy’s agenda canyou be in your sovereignty.path even harder than it needs to be.It also helps you to stop unintentionally acting asan agent of the patriarchy, as you’re no longerallowing those dynamics and patterns to livewithin and through you. Only when you are no longer manipulatedconsciously or unconsciously by the patriarchy’sagenda can you be in your sovereignty.Healing your womb pain-body opens a portal ofhealing for physical symptoms, helping them tobe reduced or eliminated at their root.As you begin to heal womb wounds and stepinto sovereignty, your healing creates accesspoints in the collective field that makes it easier forothers to heal womb wounds, too.The Holy Trinity Blueprint of Womb Healing is amap I developed after working with tens ofthousands of clients and students worldwideover thirty years. I’m seeing a lot of success for many in the Month of December. Several of you may have been experiencing a difficultsituation or hard times but you will prevail.Balance will be restored back in your life, and some will be finding out what their life passion is. Focus on that. You may havelost sight of your vision or dreams but now is the time to pursue your purpose. In some cases, some experienced deceptionand envy, but that energy will be dissipating. Also, there is a need not to compare yourself to others. Many could have beenfeeling discontent and bored with their lives. It's a good time to seek a different perspective. At this point, some may have a blocked third eye chakra. There is something you’re not seeing, or your vision might beclouded, which may mean it's a good time to meditate and get in tune with how you are feeling. Some may be feelinghopeless but there is a chance to make a change for the better. Take those opportunities as they come.In some regards, there are a few people who feel isolated and alone. Perhaps you feel that no one understands you. Manymay have guilt about past decisions that were made. No matter what happens, the past doesn't have to define you, unlessyou let it. Put your trust in faith right now because someone could be praying for a miracle. More faith is needed because theuniverse may be testing you. Since the holiday season is upon us, now is a great time for self-reflection and introspection. Set a goal for yourself for thenew year. Even couples could benefit from doing this especially if there were differences or conflicts in your relationship. Forfew, it's a time to give rather than take. This may be a good time to donate to charity or volunteer for an organization. You canalso just spend more time with your partner and children, with your undivided attention. A lot of you have the potential to be very successful in life. However, a lack of confidence could be a huge factor indetermining that. There is a need to believe in yourself, your dreams, and faith. It's never too late! You are good enough, butthe first step is stepping outside of your comfort zone. The past could be holding you back from fully healing from it. Morechange is required. Make the shift, regardless of what anyone else thinks.Monthly Collective Readings for All Signswith Joy Larkin (December 1, 2022 - December 31, 2022) Joy is a Narcissistic AbuseSurvivor who has made it her life'swork to help others through lifecoaching.
