A Heart for Mothers...A Heart for Mothers......A Home for Mothers...A Home for MothersThis booklet conveys a program honed by nearly three decades of experience. We summarized the ministry with ve elements of our program:Personal – Parental – Social – Educational – VocationalDo you see what is missing? As Christians we understand one important reality:What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? (Matthew 16:26)The glue that holds it all together is Spiritual. It is the foundation for what we do at New Beginnings. This “adhesive” provides the “character” of each of the ve program elements. It is the Spiritual element that holds the program together and restores lives shattered with bad decisions and terrible experiences. Personal:Personal: To what end do any of us understand ourselves and nd the skills to meet life’s challenges? God’s Word tells us:The LORD knows all human plans; he knows that they are futile. (Psalm 94:11)The Spiritual adhesive of this ministry reminds us that in God we nd our purpose and meaning in life (Acts 17:28). It is a personal life, walking according to his plans, that thrives.Parental:Parental: We emphasize important mothering skills, such as teaching by example, practicing patience, and demonstrating love. Most importantly, mothers are taught to cherish their children as great blessings from God (Psalm 127:3-4), and they are especially blessed to raise their children (Proverbs 31:25-30).Social: Social: Social engagement quickly becomes a selsh ambition. We often are tempted to interact for personal gain. We “friend” others because they agree with us. We “love” those who best love us back. The Spiritual adhesive, however, teaches social skills from a seless perspective. We love because we were loved rst by God (1 John 4:19). Learning to be spiritually social means adopting a sacricial attitude towards others – just as we learned it from God.Educational:Educational: A person needs some sort of education to reach a goal of self-sustaining income in this world. Education at New Beginnings, however, is wrapped in the Spiritual adhesive of God’s Word (John 17:17). While the world has much to offer, an education in Scripture pulls it and holds it all together, bringing the mother close to her God and Savior (Mark 13:31).Vocational: Vocational: For every Christian our rst vocation is as a messenger of salvation in Christ. Our vocation in the world, therefore, becomes the context within which we practice this premier vocation. We encourage mothers to pursue vocations they enjoy and that will provide a sustainable living. We do so, however, emphasizing that any worldly vocation is merely the context within which they share their faith (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).CompletenessA rightly assembled heart is wholly devoted to loving God and loving others (Matthew 22:37-40).This is the foremost value of New Beginnings. It establishes a Biblical standard that understands the eternally devastating nature of sin – and the ultimate solution through Jesus Christ. In every devotion, Bible study, and worship experience, God is naturally central at New Beginnings. But he is also central in all other areas of life at the home. You and This CampaignAs Christians we look at capital campaigns differently than the world. A Christian looks rst at the cause. The “cause” is the salvation of souls and the demonstration of love as we know it from God. The need is clear, and we have an extensive track record to demonstrate real blessings. This campaign challenges you as a steward of God’s blessings. It is one of many worthwhile causes seeking your attention. New Beginnings is not in competition with other God-pleasing efforts. New Beginnings is rooted in God’s Word and dedicated to pleasing God in all that we do. Our request is that you consider the merits of this ministry. Your support will bring more mothers the opportunity to know Jesus and to truly have a “new beginning” in life. We would welcome the opportunity to tell you more.
