Longevity. Endurance. Fortitude. Grit. Perseverance. Strength. Tenacity. These are all traits of an entrepreneur. Sprinkle in some additional Excellence, Integrity, Leadership, Loyalty, Respect and Seless Service — and you have yourself an Aggie Entrepreneur. And while those traits represent each of this year’s Aggie 100™ Honorees and the more than 1,000 other Honorees throughout the previous 19 years, they also represent Aggie 100 as a program. I invite you to read a story just a page turn away by our friends at the Texas A&M Foundation celebrating 20 years of Aggie 100. But I’ll spoil it a bit here and tell you the idea for Aggie 100 — this program that celebrates 20 years this evening, that has inspired at least 16 other universities to launch similar programs of their own — was an idea born on a napkin. Much like many of your companies began as a spark of an idea, so did this program. And like your companies whose growth we’re celebrating this evening, this program, too, has experi-enced growth. Growth in the number of applications each year. Growth in partnerships and sponsorships. Growth in attendance. Growth in awareness. Growth in the number of individ-ual Aggies and companies we recognize. But perhaps most importantly — growth in the level of Aggie Entrepreneurial Excellence represented year after year. Just when we think we can’t be more impressed, Aggie Entrepreneurs continue to show up for their companies, their com-munities, the economy, their families and our university. While we celebrate two decades of Aggie 100 this year, we give equal celebration to the 100 companies and 144 individual Honorees in your class – the Aggie 100 Class of 2024. It’s a mo-mentous year for Aggie 100 and a momentous year for each of you. We’re so glad you’ve made the return to Aggieland, and we all know nothing beats Aggieland on a home game weekend. But we hope you’ll take this evening to be just a bit selsh and allow us the opportunity and privilege to celebrate the best in Aggie Entrepreneurship — YOU! After this evening, you may choose to enjoy Midnight Yell and stand as the 12th Man to BTHO Mizzou tomorrow, but beyond this weekend, we hope you’ll stay connected with us at the McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship. We invite you to engage by joining us at networking events, mentoring or judging in one of our programs, sharing your story as a guest speaker or even sponsoring a competition prize or a veteran entrepreneur’s bootcamp experience. Op-portunities are provided throughout this magazine, and we look forward to helping you nd your place in supporting the next generation of Aggie 100 Honorees.Tonight we’re excited to host you and your guests, toast to 20 years of Aggie 100, and boast about the great successes you’ve each experienced as Aggie Entrepreneurs.A message from ourexecutive directorBlake Petty ’98 | Executive Director McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship

Scruggs wanted to organize something to celebrate them for taking a risk with what they learned at Texas A&M and applying it in the real world,” explained Blake Petty ’98 ’00, current executive director of Mays Business School’s renamed McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship. Thus Aggie 100 was born, designed to honor the 100 fastest-growing Aggie-owned or Aggie-led businesses in the world. As Petty said, measuring growth in this way “points straight back to the entrepreneurial nature of the program.”“Many programs recognize largest businesses or most employees, because that 10-to-100 moment for a company is remarkable,” he added. “But for us as an entrepreneurship center, that 0-to-10 moment—measuring from where you started to where you are now—Like all the best business ventures, Aggie 100 began as a back-of-the-napkin idea. In 2005, Richard Scruggs ’77 ’79, former director of the Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship at Mays Business School, saw a need to recognize Aggie entrepreneurs beyond graduation.“Scruggs had observed from other entrepreneurship centers that no one was paying much attention to their graduates. that’s what entrepreneurship means.” It obviously means just as much outside Texas A&M as well, with the Aggie 100 inspiring over 20 other universities to follow suit in launching their own “100” programs to celebrate their graduates’ successes.MAKING THE LISTinees’ submissions and provides the rankings based on a percent-age of compound annual growth in sales or revenues over a three-year period. As the program heads toward its 20th anniversary this fall, Ag-gie 100 has evolved beyond its humble beginnings. More recent-ly, Aggie 100 averages over 600 nominations each year, and 2023 surpassed all previous application records. Petty credited this jump to a niche character trait he calls being “Aggie competitive.”“It would make sense not to nomi-nate other companies because ev-ery spot they take could bump you o; yet we see nominations ood in from honorees nominating oth-er businesses,” he explained. “It’s very ‘Aggie competitive.’ All these people are engaging other busi-nesses, because if they’re going to compete, they might as well com-pete against the best, right?”Over the last two decades, the program has had the honor of celebrating some of Texas A&M’s nest business successes and the extraordinary milestones they’ve reached—many in record time. Hailing from various backgrounds, backstories and back-to-back Aggie 100 appearances, each of these wildly successful past hon-orees represents the unique tal-ent and ambition continuously found at Texas A&M.under the leadership of a Texas A&M graduate, meaning an Aggie must have founded the company and be an active member of the most senior management team, own 50% or more of the company, or serve as the company’s chief executive for the entirety of the three-year, pre-nomination peri-od. Lastly, Aggie 100 prides itself on aligning with the Texas A&M core values and limits recognition to companies that operate in a manner consistent with the Aggie Code of Honor. To claim a coveted spot on the list, applicants provide high-level com-pany information to PKF Texas, an independent accounting rm, to accurately identify the 100 fast-est-growing companies. Over 25 years later, he has settled into the role of chief executive ocer of ZT Corporate, which continues to strategically grow through acquisitions and investments—a move that Badar anticipates will land him back on the Aggie 100 for years to come.ADVICE FOR ASPIRING ENTREPRENEURSKEVIN BERNHARD ’00JK BERNHARD CONSTRUCTION AND STEEL FRAME SOLUTIONS & DRYWALLA BUSINESS THAT GIVES BACKCOL. EXPERIENCE is a key word at the McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship. We strive to provide programs and opportunities for Texas A&M students that go beyond the classroom and move into an experience. Within the McFerrin Center, there are a variety of programs that each play a vital role in providing experiential learning opportunities and developing an entrepreneurial mindset for ALL students at Texas A&M University. Student leaders — the McFerrin Experience Team — are responsible for planning, hosting and executing many of the student-focused programs hosted by the McFerrin Center and support the McFerrin team in veteran and former student programs — like Aggie 100 — as well.It is our goal that these student leaders build their own experience while creating experiences for others.BuildingExperience.CreatingExperiences.For its inaugural semester, the McFerrin Experience Team (MET) boasts more than 40 current Texas A&M students in director, manager and associate roles across 12 programs. Students from the fall 2024 MET team had the opportunity to connect with members of the McFerrin Advisory Council at a welcome reception in August 2024 (shown above). Everyone who moves needs to set up utilities at their home and with thousands of service providers across the country, there was no single source simplifying the process of comparing and setting up utilities. Inevitably people wasted time searching for available options, calling numerous providers and sitting on hold. In addition to wasting time comparing and setting up utilities, subsequently most movers ended up making uninformed purchase decisions and overpaying for their utilities. Our goal is to save people time and money in the process of setting up utilities by giving people access to information and technology.Your move, made easy.
