This year we are celebrating 14 years of marriage. It never ceases to amaze us, how much welearn about each other with each passing day, and how much we have changed over the years –as a couple and as individuals, and now with a bustling home filled with children. God is good. Unconditional love is just that – love without any qualifiers. Love without any parameters.Love without reason behind it. Unconditional love is just as God loves us, due to no goodnessof our own. We did not earn His love and we cannot lose His love. Even when we are at ourworst, God loves us. That is true unconditional love – in action. In our marriage, we make thedaily choice to love each other – for no specific reason. We used to try to come up withreasons why we love one another – but then we realized that if we have reasons for showinglove, if those reasons no longer exist, there is a risk of not wanting to show love to oneanother. Seasons of life change but that is where love comes in – God’s love. It is without boundaries orrequirements. It is action, protection, serving, giving, forgiving, and supporting. In showingeach other love, even when it is hard to do, it brings us closer to each other, and it also addstremendous joy, peace, security, and happiness to our marriage. Each of us knows that thelove we receive is given to us by choice and not based on anything we can do or not do.
