Happy 1st Birthday Bobby x

Page 4

Bobby’s eyes were closing. What a day! Full of fun and surprises- the best birthday ever. With a little sadness Bobby whispered as he drifted off to sleep:“I wish it was my birthday everyday, I do”. And he sang to himself as the wind outside blew.

Page 5

Hey diddle, diddle! The cat and the fiddle,The cow jumped over the moon; The little dog laughedTo see such sport,And the dish ran away with the spoon “What a funny song” Bobby thought and opened his eyes

Page 6

What he saw all around him was a big surprise! He was stood in the middle of a colourful town where everything seemed to have whiskers!

Page 7

‘Meow' came the sound from a little lake and ‘Meow’ came the sound from the rocks. On top of the rocks stood Puss in Boots-that’s right- the cat that talks!

Page 8

“Why, Bobby hello! You're finally here, I need you to help me chase after the mouse”.“The mouse?" asked Bobby. “Well yes” said Puss. “Precisely because:” (and here he stretched out his long, brown paws)

Page 9

“Hickory dickory dock”- he recited,“The mouse ran up the clock. The clock struck one,The mouse ran down,Hickory dickory dock" TiCK TOCK, TiCK TOCK, TiCK TOCK “Which way did it run?” asked Bobby.“The forest!” cried Puss and sat on the rock

Page 10

The forest was peaceful, the forest was green. But mouse? Oh, mouse nowhere to be seen! Instead, Bobby saw seven little dwarfs and the lovely Snow White singing with delight:

Page 11

Let's go on a picnic,But first pack our lunch. We'll bring something yummy to MUNCH, MUNCH, MUNCH

Page 12

“Would you like to join us, Bobby?” asked Snow White.“My favourite are apples, would you like a bite? That one is mischievous, let me tell you why":

Page 13

“The little red appleHung high in a treeI looked up at itAnd it looked down at me"Come down, please" I calledAnd what do you supposeThat little red appleDropped right on my nose” Then it rolled awayROUND AND, ROUND AND, ROUND “Which way did it roll?” asked Bobby“The desert!” cried Snow White and sat on the ground

Page 14

And so Bobby found himself, surrounded by sandWith Jasmine and Aladdin in the desert land. They asked him “Have you seen our tiger? Oh, where could he be?” “I’d rather not know if you ask me” said Bobby

Page 15

Bobby replied: “Tiger, tiger, orange and black,I am going home –Before he jumps on my back!Roar!!!” Bobby hopped on a carpet, floating nearby And off he flew high up in the sky! Aladdin called out: “Tiger, tiger, orange and black,He is somewhere about,So you better watch out.Tiger, tiger, orange and black,There on the groundI can see his tracks”

Page 16

He flew over mountains and seas, blue and vastDown below he saw mermaidsSplishing and splashing, having a blast!

Page 17

It’s Ariel and her friends! Bobby landed with a splatterSaid “Hello” to the mermaids and watched the fish scatter “Oh what a marvellous splash” Ariel smiled and looked thoughtful, then added:

Page 18

“If all the seas were one sea,What a great sea that would be!And if all the trees were one tree,What a great tree that would be!And if all the axes were one axe,What a great axe that would be!And if all the men were one man,What a great man he would be!And if the great man took the great axe,And cut down the great tree,And let it fall into the great sea,What a splish splash that would be!”

Page 19

“Oh Little Mermaid! Perhaps you can assistI’m after a mouse and an apple (but no tigers, I insist!)” Ariel said “You will find them in the garden of Fairies”“But how do I get there?” asked Bobby “Row, row, row your boat,Gently down the stream,Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrilyLife is but a dream.Row, row, row your boat,Gently down the stream,If you see a crocodile,Don’t forget to scream”

Page 20

AAARGH !!Cried Bobby, for indeed there was a crocodile swimming right at him!

Page 21

There, on his nose sat Tinker Bell, who smiled at Bobby and whispered:“Let’s fly, Bobby! To the Garden of Fairies where flowers bloom. Little sprinkle of fairy dust and we’ll be there soon.”

Page 22

And just like that Bobby found himself in a beautiful garden full of flowers. “Isn’t it wonderful? I love our garden” said Tinker Bell

Page 23

“I love the flowersI love the daffodilsI love the firesideWhen all the lights are low Boom-dee-a-daBoom-dee-a-daBoom-dee-a-daBoom-dee-a-da I love the oceanI love the open seaI love the forestI love the bumblebeesI love the stars aboveWhen night turns into day"

Page 28

“The lion and the unicornWere fighting for the crownThe lion beat the unicornAll around the town. Some gave them white bread,And some gave them brown; Some gave them plum cakeand drummed them out of town”

Page 29

“Did the Lion win the crown?” asked Bobby?“Oh no, nobody did for you see the crown has been takenBy a dragon Jaberwocky all that drumming had awaken.” “But where was it taken?” asked Bobby.“The enchanted forest” cried Cinderellaand she picked up her broom. BOOM BOOM BOOM

Page 32

And with the last step, Bobby got to the wall upon which sat,not a dragon, but Humpty Dumpty himself! It was such a narrow wall and Bobby couldn’t help but to recall: “Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the king's horses and all the king's menCouldn't put Humpty together again.” But Humpty smiled and told Bobby “Not to worry”You’re late for the party so now you must hurry”!

Page 33

“A party? No, no that’s not what I’m after” said Bobby and begun to frown.“I’m chasing a mouse, an apple, (no tigers) bumblebees and the dragon with a crown!” And here Humpty asked:“How many days are there in a year?”“Three hundred and sixty-five.”“Only one birthday, now what remains?”“Three hundred and sixty-four of course!”“See, Bobby? That’s a lot of un-birthdays… and today is yours!” “The un-birthdad party is where you will find them all waiting for you.”“Un-birthday?”asked Bobby. “But I like birthdays best.”“Let’s see, shall we? Put your theory to the test!”
