Faculty Giselle Deya, Ballet Teacher in classical ballet. Born in Havana, Cuba. Former member of the National Ballet of Cuba whom also graduated as a ballet teacher. Currently Academic Director of Vladimir Issaev School of Classical Ballet and of the Summer Intensive Program of Russian Technique of Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida alongside Maestro Vladimir Issaev. Mary Carmen Catoya, Prima ballerina of Miami was born in Venezuela. Ms. Catoya has danced extensively abroad at many international festivals and galas. She danced with the Cleveland Ballet and as a principal with the National Ballet of Caracas, Miami City Ballet and Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida. Ms. Catoya is a ballet mistress for Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida. Douglas Gawriljuk Ballet Teacher. Born in Brazil. He danced for Basel Ballet in Switzerland and Miami City Ballet as a principal dancer. Most recently, he joined the dance faculty of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, and in August of 2018, The Arts Conservatory at The Kings Academy as a ballet teacher. Marifé Gimenez Ballet Teacher. Born in Venezuela. Student of Fanny Montiel School of Ballet in Caracas. Since the age of 14 she was part of National Ballet of Caracas under the Artistic Direction of Vicente Nebrada, having Vladimir Issaev as her ballet master. She danced with Miami City Ballet, Maximum Dance Company and Ballet Florida. Ms. Gimenez is a faculty member of the School of Ballet Arts in West Palm Beach. Remina Tanaka, Male Ballet Teacher and Pianist, was born in Japan. His ballet training started at Soki Ballet International, under Kenichi and Kumi Soki. He also trained at Academié Princesse Grace in Monaco and San Francisco Ballet School. In 2019, he joined Orlando Ballet and now he dances for Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida and also accompanies classes at VISCB. Kirsty Walker, Ballet Teacher. Born in the United Kingdom. Kirsty trained full-time at Elmhurst Ballet school and a Junior associate of the Royal Ballet School. She was a trainee at Orlando Ballet and currently a professional dancer for Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida. Lusian Hernandez, Contemporary and Body Conditioning Teacher. Born in Venezuela. She trained at Fundación Escuela de Ballet Clásico del Edo. Lara. She was awarded a scholarship at the International Ballet Competition in Caracas to attend our Summer Intensive in 2011. She was then invited by Vladimir Issaev to join the company where she has worked as a soloist and choreographer. Lusian Hernandez is also part of the faculty of VISCB. Gentry George, Contemporary teacher, he is a recipient of a Level 1 YoungArts award. In 2012 Gentry graduated from The Juilliard School and danced with Ailey II of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, the Lustig Dance Theatre, and the Dance Theatre of Harlem, under the Direction of Virginia Johnson. In 2013 he founded NYC’s premiere dance company Zest Collective. He now teaches at New World School of the Arts (NWSA) and VISCB. Veronika Perepelitsina, Character teacher, graduated from the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts as Dance Teacher and Choreographer. She was a dancer of the honorable Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army and of the very famous State Academic Choreographic Ensemble “Beriozka”. Her technique co mbines elements of Russian dance and folk culture, bringing a new and exciting dimension to every performance. Jorge Robledo, Flamenco teacher, from Argentina. Faculty Member of the Vladimir Issaev School of Classical Ballet. Performed on the most outstanding stages worldwide and with the most prestigious artist and continues to perform with flamenco companies in South Florida. Eva Grossi, PBT Instructor, former principal dancer of Ballet Nacional de Caracas, having Vladimir Issaev as her ballet teacher and coach, dancing soloist and principal roles of the company and as a guest for international companies to later join Orlando Ballet. For the last twenty one years, she has been a guest teacher for various dance academies in South Florida, and completed certifications on PBT, Vaganova Technique, Conditioning and flexibility programs.
