The ABTech Innovation Lab is a dedicated space where you have access to several technologies that support our goal of being innovative in all things. One of those technologies is the Raspberry Pi 3B computer.
The Raspberry Pi computer is a low cost, credit-card sized computer that plugs into a computer monitor or TV, and uses a standard keyboard and mouse. It is capable of doing everything you'd expect of a desktop computer, but it also has the ability to interface various additional modules, sensors, and components to achieve your goals.

The Raspberry Pi 3B includes ports for HDMI, Camera, Audio, Composite Video, Lan, USB, DSI Display, Micro USB, and the 40 pin GPIO header.
There are two Raspberry Pi 3B computers available in the lab, in addition to an extensive kit of computer/electronics components (sensors, LEDs, switches, connectors, wires/ribbons, resistors, receivers, power supplies, etc.) that can be used to bring your ideas to light.
Raspberry Pi 3B Ports and Interfaces
The Raspberry Pi 3B 40 Pin GPIO header is the key to its ability to interface with the real world. The GPIO header provides power, ground, i/o, serial, and several other interfaces. These allow a massive range of sensors, motors, LEDs, and accessories to be connected to the Pi.
