Carbohydrates are the sugar, fibers, starches, found in grains, fruits, vegetables and, milk products. Having Carbohydrates in your body can give you energy that is found in fruits and vegetables. Carbohydrates are the body's main source of energy.


Having to much carbohydrates is also not a good thing. Carbs get turned into glucose and the glucose will be absorbed into your blood stream and can make your sugar level in your blood go up. Carbohydrates make up 45 to 65 percent of your daily calories 2,000 calories a day, between 900 and 1,300 calories should be from carbohydrates. That translates to between 225 and 325 grams of carbohydrates  day.

Fat are an essential part of our diet and is important for good health. There is different types of fats some fats more healthier than others. We should only have small amounts of fats in our our daily diet. Saturates fats are the unhealthier type of fat that are like fatty meats, coconut, coconut cream or milk, palm oil, and cooking margarine.


Having to much protein is bad it can even cause kidney damage. When eating protein you also take in nitrogen byproducts that your kidneys then have to work to filter out of your blood. If you eat a normal amount of it everything is fine, but when you eat to much of it your kidneys have to work harder than they're supposed to and can hurt them.


Protein is a macro nutrient that is essential to building muscle mass. Macro nutrients provide calories, or energy. Hair and nails are mostly made of protein.  Your body also uses protein to make enzymes, hormones, and other body chemicals. Protein is an important building block of bones, cartilage, skin, muscles, and blood.

Vitamins are any of a group of organic compounds that are essential for normal growth and nutrition. Vitamins help shore up bones, heal wounds, and bolster your immune system. They also convert food into energy and repair cellular damage. Consuming high amounts of calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, and zinc can have negative side effects such as tooth staining, increased urination, stomach bleeding, uneven heart rate, confusion, and muscle weakness or limp feeling. You can get vitamins from sunlight.



Minerals is a solid inorganic substance of natural occurrence. The minerals in our diet are essential for a variety of bodily functions. They are important for building strong bones and teeth, blood, skin, hair, nerve function, muscle and for metabolic processes such as those that turn the food we eat into energy. An overdose of vitamins A, D, E, or K can cause serious or life-threatening side effects if taken in large doses. There are over 4000 different types of minerals.
