Hello Members.Welcome to the Autumn edition of YOURS. Since my last report to you via this column Christmas and New Year have come and gone, however I can still wish you good health, happiness, and prosperity as we move into 2022. Since December 2021, the wearing of face masks indoors has been reintroduced, including all three DOOLEYS Clubs for Members and guests except whilst eating or drinking. At the time of writing, the two square metre rule has also been implemented as directed by the NSW Government, with a current ban on singing and dancing. Your Board also supports Management in the decision to maintain entry to only fully vaccinated or medically exempt Members and guests into our venues.I would like to acknowledge our CEO David Mantle and his Senior Management Team and Sta in the professional manner in which they have conducted the business around COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic. From the management of Members and guests entering our Club sites, to ensuring their comfort around restrictions in movement within our Club rooms, including the constant cleaning of all high touch surfaces to ensure they are COVID-19 clean. This is a very expensive but necessary operation to ensure the health of all persons within our Clubs.I would like to thank Members who supported the Club over the Christmas and New Year period, and in particular those Members who have been strong supporters of the Club since COVID-19 entered our lives way back in March 2020. Without Member support, our Club would be a very dierent place. We understand that some Members are reluctant to venture out, particularly in and around crowded venues, and that’s understandable and we welcome them back when they are comfortable in doing so. As I write this report the Omicron variant is taking its toll on the community and our Club as well, with Sta aected either as a close contact or awaiting COVID-19 test results, which has impacted on the services that the Club can oer. I ask Members to be patient and understanding during these diicult times.FROM THE BOARDROOMAt the November 2021 Board Meeting, Board members again elected me as Chair of the Board for the 2021/22 period. I thank my Board colleagues for the confidence they place in me to lead the Board during this critical period of the Club’s history. Kevin Morgan was again elected Vice Chair and together with our Board colleagues we will endeavor to bring home the Board’s strategic objectives for 2022. The year ahead will be diicult, with 102 days already lost this financial year due to a forced shutdown which ended on 11 October 2021. Your Board is monitoring the situation and is anticipating the year ahead will produce a satisfactory financial result. Members would be aware that the Club is moving ahead with the development of our Lidcombe site where the ground floor dining area of the Club has been transformed into an adult only sports bar, Baileys Sports Bar. This exciting new area oers traditional sports bar amenities presented with horse racing inspired décor and a new TAB facility located adjacent to the main bar. On Level 1 further work has also produced a new destination oering, The Upper Quarter, which includes the relocation of the existing Lloyds Bistro, John Street Café, Members Lounge and a brand-new Kids Play area. These works were necessary to allow for the appointed builder, ADCO Constructions, clear access in transforming the northern area of the Club on the ground floor into a best-in-class Club as part of the major development of the Lidcombe site. Members will be kept informed of progress via the usual communication platforms, and please be assured that any impact to your experience at our Lidcombe venue will be kept to an absolute minimum.ANZAC DAY 2022Members would be aware this year’s ANZAC Day is again an important occasion to commemorate the sacrifice of our service men and women of our armed forces, past and present. Those who have served and those who are still serving, and especially those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in defence of what we stand for. This year is an important year as we commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Fall of Singapore, one of the worst military disasters to befall Australia. On 15 February 1942 the Japanese Army swept down the Malayan Peninsula and aer a 70-day campaign in which Australian forces bravely fought in a rear-guard action, the invading Japanese captured the Island fortress of Singapore with the surrender of Australian, British, and Indian forces by the British Commander, Lt General Arthur Percival. On this day 18,490 Australian troops of the 8th Division AIF went into captivity, of which 1306 were wounded, and 1789 killed. Those in captivity suered harshly at the hands of the Japanese and were finally released at war’s end in August 1945.The RSL Sub Branch will conduct the ANZAC Dawn Service at the Cenotaph in Remembrance Park Lidcombe, and later in the day an ANZAC Commemoration Service will be conducted at DOOLEYS Regents Park Sports Club for all Members and visitors to attend. Both services will be conducted under strict COVID-19 regulations. I urge Members to support the RSL in commemorating these important occasions. Please refer to P. 21 for further details about this important occasion. As Easter falls within this Autumn edition, may I wish you all a safe and Happy Easter. In the meantime, please enjoy the facilities of your Club.Best wishes to you all, stay safe and see you around the Club.John MunceChairmanCHAIRMAN’SREPORTJOHN MUNCEYOURS | MARCH - MAY 20224DOOLEYS LIDCOMBE

Hello Members.Welcome to the Autumn edition of YOURS. It has been an interesting start to 2022 as we continue to ride the unpredictable COVID-19 roller coaster. The Clubs experienced a strong recovery aer reopening in October and it was wonderful to see Member confidence restored as vaccination rates were high and the Club followed strict entry protocols. As we continue to transition to living with COVID-19, maintaining a strong focus on the health and wellbeing of all our Members, guests and Sta continues to remain our number one priority – as it has been over the last 2 years. With your safety front of mind, we continue to ensure all appropriate welfare and compliance measures remain in place throughout all DOOLEYS Clubs and our premium health and fitness centre. This includes implementing all NSW Government restrictions which were reintroduced in late January 2022. This incorporates adequate social distancing, frequent touch point cleaning and regular sanitisation, the wearing of facemasks, QR code sign in processes and venue capacity limits.I thank all Members for their patience, understanding and support of these ongoing COVID-19 safe initiatives including the continuance of permitting entry to fully vaccinated or medically exempt persons only. The overwhelming majority of both Members and Sta support this decision and Members will be updated for any change.During what continues to be uncertain times I would also like to thank our wonderful DOOLEYS Club Sta who have overcome another turbulent start to a year yet still maintained our excellent service standards and quality.During your visit to our Lidcombe premises, please experience The Upper Quarter, a new destination located on Level 1 which opened in late November 2021. Oering dining and café options, The Upper Quarter includes a new Members Lounge area with Keno and TAB facilities, and a new kids play area which includes a parent room. The Upper Quarter forms part of our transformation works which you will continue to see carried out on the ground floor in coming months as the Club renovation and expansion begins. Our ground floor dining areas and Board Street basement car park will temporarily close around June 2022 for major construction works to deliver a best-in-class new Club at Lidcombe. More information regarding our transformation works can be found in the following pages.Membership renewals will also commence this quarter kicking o from 1 May 2022 for those who are due for renewal. CLUB CHAPLAIN’SMESSAGEDear Friends,As the Lunar New Year takes on a new chapter for communities where this is culturally significant, we think of communities rebuilding from natural disasters such as the people of Tonga during the most recent volcanic eruptions and tsunamis. Human resilience is oen tested during times of hardships and diiculties. While we enjoy many good things in Australia, Pope Francis is oen reminding all of us to care for one another, as a spirit of common brotherhood as children of God. When he was at the birthplace of the biblical figure Abraham, Pope Francis said:"Today we, Jews, Christians, and Muslims, together with our brothers and sisters of other religions, honour our father Abraham by doing as he did: we look up to heaven and we journey on earth. We look up to heaven. Thousands of years later, as we look up to the same sky, those same stars appear. They illumine the darkest nights because they shine together. Heaven thus imparts a message of unity: the Almighty above invites us never to separate ourselves from our neighbours.Above all, we have this role: to help our brothers and sisters to raise their eyes and prayers to heaven. If we exclude God, we end up worshipping the things of this earth. Worldly goods, which lead so many people to be unconcerned with God and others, are not the reason why we journey on earth. We raise our eyes to heaven in order to raise ourselves from the depths of our vanity; we serve God in order to be set free from enslavement to our egos, because God urges us to love. This is true religiosity: to worship God and to love our neighbour."DOOLEYS Lidcombe Catholic Club is a home that serves and can serve this fraternity and unity that the Pope speaks of.I hope and pray that DOOLEYS will continue to remain committed to live this mission eectively and creatively in the future. Members will witness a significant amount of change over the next three years as ADCO Construction works to implement our vision for the future of DOOLEYS Lidcombe. On site works will commence in March to prepare for the demolition of the Club’s retail properties along John Street, clearing the way for the construction of a class leading hospitality venue that members can be proud of. Over the coming months you will see ADCO set up a construction compound on the vacant land between Board & Ann Street, a range of infrastructure decommissioning and upgrade works and the excavation of the new Board Street basement car park extension. There will of course be some disruption over the coming years, aer all, you can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs! However, our consultant team have worked diligently with ADCO Construction to ensure that disruption is kept to an absolute minimum, so that you can continue to enjoy a wide range of facilities at Lidcombe despite the ongoing building works.Initially you will see an increase in construction traic in the area, and increased noise levels at certain stages of the demolition and excavation. As these early works draw to a close in July there will be a more noticeable impact within the Club as Lloyd’s Bistro, the Three Lanterns Bar, the Member Lounge and Children’s area are closed to make way for exciting new food & beverage venues. However, the recently completed Baileys Sports Bar & Upper Quarter will remain open, continuing the tradition of great food and drink, entertainment and a fun play area for the kids too! Whilst these facilities won’t be on the same scale as we have become accustomed, the familiar friendly faces, and DOOLEYS service with a smile will continue.A staged approach will see completed areas unveiled from early 2024 onwards, with the project drawing to a close early in 2025. Vincents restaurant will expand and take on an authentic new look and a top class Yum Cha restaurant will form a new Asian food precinct on level one.A dedicated sports zone with snooker room and two state of the art Trackman golf simulators will provide endless fun, as well as opportunities for coaching, game improvement and corporate entertainment packages. The functions & events capability will expand with a new Grand Ballroom, capable of hosting a wide range of events and capacity to cater for over 500 people, as well as a sumptuous whiskey bar on the first floor, making DOOLEYS the number one events venue in the area. The Bistro will undergo a dramatic overhaul, not to mention a much improved Children’s play area and Gelateria….and we can’t forget the John Street Cafe, which will take on a new Parisian inspired theme.A New York style Sports Bar will help to attract the next generation of members to the benefits of joining the DOOLEYS community, complete with electronic darts boards, foosball tables, large screens and private booths.Keep an eye out on the website for regular updates, sneak previews, interviews with the talented designers behind the concepts and construction masterclasses with builders and tradesman handpicked for their commitment to the highest levels of crasmanship.More information can be found at www.concourseatlidcombe.com.au and enquiries via email tomail@concourseatlidcombe.com.au.
