Quarterly Report January March 2018 A church where every believer is inspired by grace compelled by truth sharing the Gospel of Hope

The STORY Every number has a name Mike Bryant Mike grew up with no real religious upbringing in fact he was raised opposite of the church and yet he said I always knew something was out there After he met his now wife Dara Bryant at 44 years old he decided to come visit OCC in the Summer of 2017 He wanted to see for himself what Dara believed so strongly to be true He was curious at first but didn t have enough faith yet to believe that God existed in order to say yes to Jesus Mike said he slowly began opening my ears heart and mind to the true possibility that God is real Mike began diving deeper in asking questions to Group Life Minister Bryan Hay and Men s Ministry Leader Greg Leathers He began attending Adult Bible Fellowship Class ABF on Sunday mornings and Men s Bible Study on Wednesday nights Mike began to experience that God Jesus and the Holy Spirit are actually real Through this reality and by God s grace Mike was baptized here at OCC in January of 2018 and came alive in Christ After that Mike dove into the Bible and began to attend the Precepts Bible Study Class on Thursday nights and now he volunteers on the Grounds Team and the Communion Servers Team When asked if you were able to talk to the skeptical old Mike Bryant now what would you tell him I d tell him to open up your ears open up your mind and open up your heart Don t be a stone be a sponge and soak it all in because He God is real Mike having been fully inspired by the Grace of Jesus and compelled by the truth of His existence has humbly and joyfully accepted the Gospel of Hope 55 The number of families that Okolona Christian Church has served through the Food Pantry
