In today s world of sustainable thinking the utilization of every resource to its potential is critical With the first generation of cropbased biofuels deemed obsolete due to demand Alternative fields of biofuel research have found many other plant sources now that harvest the same potential Some of these plant species include species deemed invasive to New York State Plants such as Mile a Minute Porcelain Berry or Giant Hogweed disturb the local eco system Alfred being a predominantly agricultural based has the potential to push this initiative with the further advancement of research on biofuel for these deemed invasive species and how to utilize them Through early concepts of structure and cycle this project aims at designing as interesting functional and accessible building that also pushes the envelope of sustainability to reflect the work done within it Structure of The Building Structure of Biofuel H H H C C H H C C C C C C C C H H H H Structure Field You Refinery Fuel The Cycle Solar Angles Summer 70 Fall Spring 47 Winter 24 Yearly Averages Temperature 49 Winds 8 mph wsw Daily Percipitation 10 in SITE PLAN 6

The incubator with its focus on invasive species looks to keep a supply of the studied species close by in order to have available for constant routine testing Many of these species such as Giant Hogweed Porcelain Berry and Mile a Minute often thrive in non ideal conditions and indirect sunlight The growing area offers areas of direct sun exposure for plants that require this sunlighting demand as well as areas of indirect light for less demanding species The spaces offers surface planted areas as well as vertical growing options for tendril based plants Greenhouse Balcony section invasive species growing area

This project was a semester long project for me in collaboration with the Alfred State Fall 2017 Urban Design Studio The project was an adaptive reuse of The Eastern Hills Mall located in Clarence New York For this project we took this decaying building and transformed it into a technology based lifestyle center with a focus on accessibility for people of all abilities This lifestyle center features residential retail and business occupancies with public amenities This site also featured restrictive vehicular access NAVI public transit and zero step walkways and roads to promote sustainable means of movement throughout the site Site Axon 14
Routes Means of Navigation on Site My Role Aided in original concept generation Involved on developing final board presentation graphics including the Site Axon and Retail Corridor graphic as well as others Developed the NAVI public transit bus with stops route and statistics Aided in overall site development and statistic gathering as well as led the design effort of the adapted reuse of the southern quadrant of the mall Spine Perspective

A Place to Dwell Project A Place to Dwell Project Sophomore Year Assignment Made in Autodesk Revit 2016 Scribus Lumion 5
This project was formulated along three constraints The first constraint was that each person was given a style of architecture that they had to try to base their project off of based on their nationality which in my case would be German The second constraint was to keep the house based off a 3x3 grid which would influence the layout and plan of the house The third constraint was the client and the specific needs which generated a program for the house The client given to me was a single mother with two older boys A more liberal approach to the 3x3 grid was taken to boast interesting spaces within the home with certain angular elements while still maintaining roots to the 3x3 grid The house on the exterior presents steep roofs stucco exterior with wood trimming along with a more vertical emphasis This helps to base the house to a more traditional Bavarian German home with a modern flare added to it Plan In Relation to 3x3 Grid West Perspective Section of House Interior Perspective Second Floor 24
SORRENTO MUSEUM Villa Di Pollio Felice Visitors Center Sophomore Year Assignment Made with Autodesk AutoCad 2016 Autodesk Revit 2016 Adobe Photoshop Lumion 5 Partner Brandon Oddo at Alfred State
Building Model with Site Context Concept Diagram Through the site and building s deconstructed form one will experience an unraveling of an ancient civilization Just like the ruins of Villa Di Pollio Felice that this building presents to us through sculptures galleries and art one discovers the building and its many fascinating features Upon entry to the site the powerful views are obstructed and delayed using trees and extrusions from the building for one to experience later in their journey through the site With the building s many features and complex forms it will offer a modern change and compliment in scenery from Sorrento s aging cityscape My Role Came up with original concept aided in designing building exterior floor plan layout site plan work perspective renderings and aided in structure I also led the effort on making the model Aerial View Facing West Floor Plans 26

REVIT DYNAMO EXPLORATION Multiple examples of Revit and Dynamo exploration of materiality structure and architectural vernacular Concepts such as those listed below and many more were the points of analysis discussion as well as development Investigations include making use of materials such as ETFE wood and glass Strong emphasis was placed on developing structure in which relied on being flexible in design via adaptive componentry as well as the exploration of mathmatical code based structure and articulation via Dynamo Further investigation of current architectural language of rainscreens and structural steel with in depth analysis and documentation of components 46
Sketches Provided to Me Through Thingiverse which is a website full of 3d printable objects I came into contact with a man named Craig who had a older and smaller engineering firm in Pennsylvania called Diversified Specialty Solutions LLC He contacted me because he needed to make a potato machine that would scoop the insides of the potato out and leave the potato skins Since he was savvy with computers he needed somebody who could take a couple basic sketches and through collaboration with him mock up a design on the computer which could be presented and even printed to show his client From my knowledge he was pleased with the work and got the contract for the machine Sketch done in Collaboration With Craig Final Model Freelance Work Made in SketchUp Make 2015 POTATO MACHINE
