It s Safe to Appear Scripture Reference Genesis 7 6 Genesis 8 1 3 Have you ever felt God has forgotten about your situation You have experienced unfortunate circumstances for a long time and it doesn t appear it will end Remember Noah he was instructed by God to build a ship and board with clean and unclean animals birds and all crawling creatures in pairs male and female Noah and his wife and sons and their wives also boarded the ship to escape the flood Then God shut the door behind him The flood continued forty days and the waters rose and lifted the ship high over the Earth The waters kept rising the flood deepened on the Earth the ship floated on the surface The tide got worse until all the highest mountains were covered the high water mark reached twenty feet above the crest of the hills Everything died Anything that moved dead Birds farm animals wild animals the entire teeming exuberance of life dead All people dead Every living breathing creature that lived on dry land died he wiped out the whole world people and animals crawling creatures and flying birds every last one of them gone Only Noah and his company on the ship lived The floodwaters took over for 150 days Then God turned his attention to Noah and all the wild animals and farm animals with him on the ship God caused the wind to blow and the flood waters began to go down The underground springs were shut off the windows of Heaven closed and the rain quit Inch by inch the water lowered After 150 days the worst was over The storm didn t affect Noah but how do you think Noah felt Noah was in a boat with every kind of animals and his family Can you imagine being in a closed environment for 150 days with smelling animals and your family Noah felt the effects of the storm The boat shook and tumble straight for 150 days Do you think Noah wondered how much longer Has God forgotten us in this boat Then God turned his attention to Noah It wasn t God had forgotten Noah and his family He kept him hidden until everything was ready and safe for Noah to emerge How about you Are you tired of your circumstance Wait God has you hidden until everything is perfect for you to appear When you are laying in green pastures you talk about God But when you are in the valley you speak to God th 5 grade student Indira Hammond and Ze Leon Warren th 6 grade students Landon Johnson Tyler Olander Abbie Ritzema
