A MESSAGE FROM THE Executive DirectorFor our 30th Anniversary Season in 2023-2024, the Fitton Center for Creative Arts will continue to oer some of the finest local and national talent with an ever-more diverse and inclusive series of live performances and events. This year we’ll take you from a ballgame on the back porch to the sizzling spectacle of Bollywood, from the mystical, musical hills and hollers of Appalachia to the pulsing urban streets of a big city, with plenty of pop, rock, drama, jazz, classical, and more in between! Our galleries present another outstanding slate of exhibitions featuring gorgeous and galvanizing work by talented local and national artists, and we’ll close the year with all of your very best work in our 30th Anniversary Member Show. As ever, we remain deeply committed to arts education, oering an ever-expanding range of classes, workshops and summer camps, including new oerings in digital art in our revamped technology suite. Our award-winning community outreach and engagement programs continue to grow and bring fine arts into many underserved communities. We can’t say thank you enough to everyone who gives the Fitton Center such incredible support – members, patrons, donors, sponsors and funders. The foundation you’ve built has allowed us to serve our community with an array of innovative programs, impactful outreach partnerships, and direct community arts engagement since we opened our doors in 1993. As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we also embark on an exciting new strategic plan to ensure the Fitton Center will continue to bring you the best of the arts for generations to come. ABOUT USCome curious and leave inspired. The Fitton Center for Creative Arts isn’t just a building—it’s an experience. We are a non-profit community arts organization that celebrates and supports the full spectrum of humanity through equal opportunities in visual and performing arts. This year we celebrate our 30th anniversary of serving the Hamilton and Butler County communities. We connect people, energize the local economy, share a sense of place, and provide a variety of cultural opportunities. Learn something new in one of our art classes or workshops open to students of all ages. Be enthralled by extraordinary musicians, actors, and dancers at one of our live performances. PERFORMANCES With more than 40 events each year, we present an array of rock, jazz, and classical music, as well as guest speakers, dance, comedy, and live theater. EXHIBITIONS With an emphasis on community engagement, inclusion, collaboration, and partnership, our five galleries oer the public approximately 20 diverse exhibitions annually, all free of charge. ART EDUCATION People of all ages can inspire their creative spirit in one of our hands-on art classes, workshops, or summer camps. Scholarships are available to ensure all people have equal access to art education.COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT We bring a vibrant, community-centric focus on the arts by engaging families in original, innovative, and fun community art projects at events throughout Hamilton and Butler County. We beautify the area through StreetSpark murals and the Wings of Hope mosaic. We build partnerships while creating a culture of inclusion and connectedness. OUTREACH We bring quality arts education to thousands of people each year with our partner organizations, including Boys & Girls Club of Hamilton, Booker T. Volunteer ProgramOutreach The Fitton Center oers a community-centered focus to the arts at more than a dozen events around Hamilton, Butler County, and Greater Cincinnati each year. We provide the necessary sta, supplies, and equipment to engage families in original, innovative, and fun art projects everywhere we go.Events COMMUNITY OUTREACH& ENGAGEMENT 24 | 2023–2024 SeasonHundreds of volunteers - from elementary school children to senior citizens - dedicate time and talent to support their community arts center, its patrons, members and guests. Volunteers help shape the Fitton Center experience by seating people at shows, installing art, giving tours, providing administrative support, building community during events, and more. This season we will be presenting a series of ‘Pop-Up’ style seasonal event screenings, presentations by local filmmakers, and also continuing our partnership with the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities for daytime sensory-friendly screenings in the cinema.

The program creates engagement by producing high-quality art, providing opportunities for local artists, and enhancing the visual appeal of the city. With the goal of fueling Hamilton artistically, StreetSpark brings visible murals and artwork into our community. This program energizes our streetscape, creates awareness of the arts, and sparks new development throughout Hamilton. StreetSpark has created 19 murals and painted 17 utility-box designs in a variety of styles since the summer of 2016.
