SYNOPSIS Best friends Sof a and Zoe speak to each other every day They have since childhood when the planet was cooler and the possibilities of their futures seemed endless as they stargazed together Now Zoe has a master s degree in Theology and serves as the dutiful wife of her husband a priest Sof a is a NASA astronaut with ambitions to travel to other planets and save humanity When Zoe reveals her pregnancy and Sof a becomes scheduled to be on the first manned mission to Mars their faith and friendship is put to the test CAST BIOS Alvaro Cortez John Cardenas is local actor both in film and theatre based in Salt Lake City A 2020 pandemic graduate from Westminster College in the B F A program Alvaro has been participating in theatre since his Junior year at Hillcrest High in Midvale Utah Ecstatic to be able to work a 2nd production with Good Company Theatre his previous performance here was on the world premiere of Fremont Jr High is not doing Oklahoma Travis Chelsea Jurkiewicz Zoe Cardenas This is Chelsea s first GCT show and she is very excited to be playing Zoe She has worked in show business all over the United States has starred in two 1 hit films on Amazon Prime and has worked with Emmy award winning directors Chelsea was the 2020 recipient for the Utah Film Award in the category of Best Lead Actress She also won the international Zed Award for Outstanding Acting Performance and has 4 additional award nominations to her name Her other talents include singing and dancing she has a 3 octave range and has been photographed in several shoots as a dance model Chelsea also enjoys making greeting cards reading doing word puzzles and writing letters Thanks to my friends and family for coming Enjoy the show Alex Smith Ken Roberts is thrilled to be making his debut with Good Company Theatre this fall as Ken in To Saints and Stars He is deeply grateful for this opportunity and would like to thank all of his friends and family for their ever present love and support Kassandra Torres Sof a Wilson Kassandra is honored to make her GCT debut and to celebrate ten years of professional inclusive theatre with them Kassandra is a drama teacher and an orchestra teacher and finds a sort of religion in the stars herself Not that cats can read but love to Panther and Elephant anyway Aaron Adams Keith holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Utah and lives in Salt Lake City He has appeared on stage at Salt Lake Acting Company Westminster Players Pinnacle Acting Company and the Grand Theatre His favorite roles include Sam in MERCURY Stanley in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE Marco in A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE and John Wilkes Booth in AN EVENING WITH TWO AWFUL MEN by Elaine Jarvik He was most recently
