The Stabilizer Carriage is designed to straddle the legsof the lift for quick set up. The Stabilizer Bar slides into theCarriage cradle and it is set. When using the Stabilizer Bundle,the bed can be moved around the shop from bay to bay whilethe Stabilizer Bar is in use.When a pick-up box is removed and kept on the Main Component itmakes collision work and other repairs much easier. Because of thelength and weight of a pick-up box, when it is on the lift it has a littlebounce at the front of the box when pushed up and down. When anOPERATOR is changing out a box side or performing collision workthe Stabilizer Bar is placed under the front of the box and then thebox is lowered just enough to put a little frontward pressure from thebox on the Stabilizer Bar. This reduces any bounce from the box andallows the OPERATOR to perform repairs with the box holdingsteady. Most shops prefer to repair the pick-up box while it sits stableon the lift compared to using saw horses or blocks.The Stabilizer Carriage connects to the Main Component withinseconds and without the need of pins or bolts. It is designed tostraddle the legs of the lift for quick set up. When using theStabilizer Bar most shops leave the pick-up box on the lift whileperforming repairs. The Stabilizer Carriage is an added featurethat allows the Stabilizer Bar to serve its purpose without theneed of the Stabilizer Bar sitting on the shop floor. The StabilizerCarriage allows an OPERATOR to move the box around the shopfrom bay to bay while the Stabilizer Bar is in use.
