Independent Distribution Collective presents our 61st Solicitation just in time for Autumn placement (our sixth of this year). We are excited about many of these new releases and are very proud to have a handful of great artists joining IDC. Please note we moved both our physical and warehouse locations in early August 2013. D. Edward - Love Is CD
D. Edward, Singer/Songwriter and Multi-Instrumentalist, has played with numerous groups over his long and storied career, and now releases his new solo project worldwide on October 21st, 2014. Love Is was two years in the making and features catchy hooks and grooves with a familiar, yet unique and modern pop and retro soul sound. Love Is features Grammy Award Winners Pianist Laura Sullivan, Trumpet player Steffen Kuehn and Saxophonist Tony Peebles from 2013 Grammy-winning band Pacific Mambo Orchestra, and Billboard Music Award Winner Leah Tysse. D. Edward is an accomplished percussionist and currently tours with legendary R&B/Funk group Con Funk Shun.

Christina Holmes - Peace, Love, & C. Holmes CD
In June 2013, Christina Holmes, a singer-songwriter originally from New Jersey, now based in Rhode Island, was presented with the opportunity to record her debut album with multi-platinum producer Narada Michael Walden after he heard some of her demos and was blown away by her raw talent. Christina began to record with Narada throughout the summer of 2013 and into early 2014, and during that time she wrote and recorded 21 songs. In July of 2014, Narada offered Christina a record deal with his newly founded label, Tarpan Records. Christina signed and is now releasing her debut album, Peace, Love, and C. Holmes on October 14th, 2014. The album contains 16 amazing original compositions featuring many amazing guest performers. All of the Vocals, most of the Guitars, and even some of the drum tracks were performed by Christina.

NjS - Soular Power CD
In this new era of music, artists have to do a lot more than just stand out, and bilingual Japanese-American Jazz Hip-Hop rappers Flow Zen and Kuga, who have created the multi-national Hip-Hop group NjS, are doing just that. The group hails from the west coast in the city of fog, San Francisco, and their music has embodied a Bay Area sound that features uniquely interesting and dynamic production. Soular Power features Bi-Lingual Hip Hop with many diverse influences, very marketable original tracks, and international guests including Funky DL (UK), Equipto (Bay Area), Marcus D (Seattle) and LHA (Australia). The production of the album showcases a very commercial sound and many of their songs will appeal to a wide demographic.

Women of Strength - Ministry CD
The Women of Strength brings their southern culture to center stage with the debut album “Ministry”. This collection reminds you of the rural foot-stomping and hand clapping, traditional gospel music scene that the south was known for. The group’s sound sends a message of encouragement along with the inspiring title “God Cares”. When life seems to overwhelm us, we can find within this presentation, the evoked feeling of hope for tomorrow. Uplifting instrumentation highlighted in this album brings the hand clapping church-goers to their feet in an expression of praise and adoration.

Kill The Computer is Tristan "TreyShawn" Calder and Brandon J Hale aka "The Brain." The accomplished duo's groundbreaking work as Kill The Computer destroys current electronic dance music cliches. Fresh off the success of their 2013 album "Luck & Lana Kill The Computer" with Living Legends emcee Luckyiam and Singer-Emcee Lana Shea, KTC is back with a genre bending beat roller coaster titled NamTam. Kill The Computer can be heard on TV shows like Access Hollywood, CSI, Bad Girls Club, etc. They have also broken into feature films producing 2 songs for the 2014 comedy "Walk of Shame."

John Taglieri - Days Like These EP
With his twelfth release, Days Like These, John Taglieri defines why his career is right where he wants it to be. He has shown that musicians can make a comfortable living in the 2000's without being a household name and relying on major label advances. He has an equal balance of career and family life and he is living both sides of the coin to the absolute extreme. The record adds to that balance with a great mix of upbeat material and ballads…songs about life and the ins and outs of it. With the new EP, Taglieri returns to his roots in a way. It's his first full on melodic rock release since his debut album, ‘Leap of Faith’ in 1999. Since then he's explored the singer-songwriter format, pop music and with his last EP, 'Southern Paradise,' he tackled his country side.

With a laid-back and soulful sound, it can be described as quintessential California music. Track 2 on the project "My Turn" features the exceptional vocal talents of national recording artist Kelley James, and was co-composed by Mars Today (producer for Los Rakas, sayknowledge, Zion I & more).
