uncared for OVER 150 HOUSEHOLDS SUPPORTED ALLISON S STORY Kindness Initiative was approached by a mother of two young children for whom she has sole custody Her youngest child has special needs that require numerous therapies This has placed a huge amount of financial and emotional stress on her shoulders She was working as a teacher but because of COVID and her own health issues her hours have been drastically modified which put the family even further behind in their bills Kindness Initiative has provided this mother with a monthly stipend helped her secure more government assistance for her special needs child and has assisted her in accessing legal resources The additional funds we receive from the Kindness Initiative relieve some financial pressures and I am so grateful Most of the money just relieves medical bills since we have so many copays and various needs It also provides more for the kids without having to worry as much Whether it is clothes activities school needs etc the money alleviates some of the concerns and worries Thank you so much to the Kindness Initiative team RESOURCES PROVIDED INCLUDE 97 Case Management RECEIVE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE 33 35 FAMILIES
