He earned his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine country and completed his 5-year general surgery residency at the University of Florida, Jacksonville campus. After just 4 years as a general surgery resident, he advanced to the chief resident during his 5th year. Soon after he was granted admission to the plastic surgery fellowship at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital, one of the country’s most demanding plastic surgery programs. After his plastic surgery fellowship, Dr. Larsen traveled throughout the country and trained with some of the most renowned cosmetic surgeons in the country. Eventually, he settled in Atlanta where he established his cosmetic surgery practice in the prestigious Buckhead district of north Atlanta. WHAT ARE INJECTABLES?Injectables are dermal llers made up of hyaluronic acid and are used to plump your skin by increasing volume from underneath. Dermal llers are used to create lip fullness and treat issues such as ne lines and facial wrinkles. Injectables can be used to enhance certain features, such as to create fuller lips or sharpen cheekbones. WHAT TO EXPECT POST-TREATMENT?The appeal of cosmetic injections is that you see an immediate result. Although the odds of having an adverse reaction is very low, your practitioner will explain all the risks and possible side effects before the treatment. Bruising or swelling at the injection site is common. These side effects are temporary and can be relieved with small ice packs given at the time of the appointment. Taking Arnica, which is sold at Lux, prior to your appointment can help prevent bruising. 8
