WWW.MONTEREYCHURCH.COM LOVE GOD | LOVE OTHERS March 1, 2026 I montereychurch.com CONNECT TO OUR FAMILY SUNDAY WORSHIP A CAPPELLA 8:30 AM BIBLE CLASSES 9:45 AM INSTRUMENTAL 10:45 AM ALL SERVICES ARE LIVE STREAMED ADULT BIBLE CLASSES For the Spring we will be studying "The Life of David". But, as a twist, we won’t be hitting the greatest hits. David’s story is more than a shepherd and a giant. It’s the journey of a man anointed before he was ready, hunted before he was crowned, and humbled after he rose to power. In this ten-week walk through 1 & 2 Samuel, we’ll explore calling, fear, leadership, failure, and faith—and discover what God sees when He looks at the heart. Let’s learn how a faithful God works through flawed people, shaping hearts in caves, crises, and crowns alike. At the info desk out in the Great Hall is a listing of all our classes and their room numbers. You can also catch one of our Welcome Team with the blue lanyards who can assist you. WEDNESDAY MIDWEEK CONNECT “FROM LENT TO EASTER” — COMBINED ADULT CLASS LED BY VARIOUS SPEAKERS A four-week journey designed to help us slow down and walk intentionally toward the cross and the empty tomb. Together we will explore the heart of Lent—repentance, humility, suffering, and sacrifice—learning how these practices shape us into people who more fully reflect Christ. If you are longing for a deeper, more meaningful preparation for Easter, this class invites you to examine your heart, surrender what hinders you, and rediscover the hope that rises on resurrection morning. ACTIVE RETIREES THURSDAY LUNCHEON 10:00 AM—2:00 PM Fireside Rm CONNECTION TABLE FELLOWSHIP FOR SINGLES Table Fellowship blesses community. God uses table fellowship to both begin and deepen relationships Table Fellowship for those who are single is some-times hard to find. We want to invite anyone who is single to join us in a night of Table Fellowship. A night to be seen, a night of meaningful conversations and a night to enjoy the body of Christ. Monday, March 2nd, join us at Robbi Crumpler’s Home, 13805 Raleigh Ave. We will start at 6:00 PM. Please RSVP to wimberleyK@hotmail.com The book of Acts is a fascinating collection of stories that details how the world was turned upside down by the earliest people who embraced Jesus as Lord. These Christians – as they would come to be called – had their lives changed when the Holy Spirit took up residence among them. In this series, “Witnesses,” we will watch what happens when ordinary people are filled with the Spirit and sent into the world with the good news of Jesus. From the dramatic outpouring of the Spirit at Pentecost, to healing in the name of Jesus, to bold witness in the face of persecution, to the surprising conversion of Saul, and to God’s deliverance of Peter from prison — these stories reveal a church that is empowered, courageous, and on mission. As we walk through these pivotal moments in Acts, we will be invited to consider what it means for us to be witnesses today — people shaped by the Spirit, faithful in suffering, bold in testimony, and confident that God is still at work through His people for the sake of the world.
