CONTRIBUTION/ATTENDANCE Culture is everywhere—it is in the society we live in, the schools we attend, the restaurants we keep coming back to, and the social groups we are a part of. And it is even in our churches. Monterey is no exception to this. There is a culture here that matters—because it shapes who we are, what we value, and how we live together. But culture also matters in another sense: it’s something we can name, nurture, and practice. During the first 5 weeks of 2026 we are going to spend time thinking about culture and why it matters. We’ll explore one of five culture-shaping practices—worship, belonging, sacrifice, discipleship, and presence. These are more than words we admire or paint on our walls - they are habits that form us over time. Together, they describe a way of life shaped by Christ and lived out in community. Culture Matters. And this series invites us to consider not only what we value, but how those values take shape among us—how our shared life bears witness to the gospel and forms us into a Christ-shaped people for the sake of the world. January 25 Presence February 1 Discipleship You are invited to a “Family Meeting” TODAY (WEATHER PERMITTING) Fireside Room, 2:30 PM as a follow-up to the initial budget presentation from January 11th.
