But, as a twist, we won’t be hitting the greatest hits. David’s story is more than a shepherd and a giant. It’s the journey of a man anointed before he was ready, hunted before he was crowned, and humbled after he rose to power. In this ten-week walk through 1 & 2 Samuel, we’ll explore calling, fear, leadership, failure, and faith—and discover what God sees when He looks at the heart. Let’s learn how a faithful God works through flawed people, shaping hearts in caves, crises, and crowns alike. WEDNESDAY MIDWEEK CONNECT “FROM LENT TO EASTER” — COMBINED ADULT CLASS LED BY VARIOUS SPEAKERS A four-week journey designed to help us slow down and walk intentionally toward the cross and the empty tomb. Together we will explore the heart of Lent—repentance, humility, suffering, and sacrifice—learning how these practices shape us into people who more fully reflect Christ. If you are longing for a deeper, more meaningful preparation for Easter, this class invites you to examine your heart, surrender what hinders you, and rediscover the hope that rises on resurrection morning. These Christians – as they would come to be called – had their lives changed when the Holy Spirit took up residence among them. In this series, “Witnesses,” we will watch what happens when ordinary people are filled with the Spirit and sent into the world with the good news of Jesus. From the dramatic outpouring of the Spirit at Pentecost, to healing in the name of Jesus, to bold witness in the face of persecution, to the surprising conversion of Saul, and to God’s deliverance of Peter from prison — these stories reveal a church that is empowered, courageous, and on mission.
