It is an honour to be the president of the Bobcaygeon Agricultural Society for this anniversary year 160 years of amazing volunteers have built the fair as we know it today Although showing horses at fairs is an important part of the Wilson family s history my involvement in the fair grew from a different kind of horse power I was introduced to the fair through tractor pulling with Miles Martin Not long after I became a volunteer and over the last ten years I ve participated as a member of our fairboard Through this experience I ve come to learn that a successful fair isn t achieved by one single person or event but by the hard work and dedication of a large group of volunteers that collaborate and work together towards the common goal of making the fair a success I ve had the pleasure of working with some of the best members of our community I hope to continue to watch our fair grow and succeed with a strong foundation in our traditions and the fresh ideas of new volunteers joining our team Our fairboard is made up of many different committees working hard to bring you fun and educational shows entertainment and exhibits I encourage you to come out and find out more about what the Fall Fair has to offer Along with taking in the fair s events there s the great opportunity to catch up with family and friends There s something for everyone I would like to extend a huge thank you to our fairboard and many hard working volunteers Without these people we would not have the fair we all look forward to each fall Please join us in celebrating 160 years of the Bobcaygeon Fall Fair 2 Your 2018 President Josh Wilson
