PLATFORM - HUNGER Camille Schmidt is the Royal International Miss Southern States Preteen. She is from Johns Creek, GA, and is a 5th grader in her school?s Talent ed and Gift ed program. She is a flyer and t umbler on her all-star cheerleading team at the Stingrays Cheer Gym and for her middle school compet ition team.Her platform is called theGift of Joy, where she strives to bring joy to children experiencing homelessness or food insecurity. Through this program, she has delivered birthday bags t o almost 700 children in need. She also delivered Christmas cheer bags for almost 200 children in each of the past three years. One of the ways she funds these projects is through her bat h bomb business, A Gift of Joy. She has sold over 200 bat h bombs so far and has recently added soaps, which have been very successful as well.Because of her love of service, she has been awarded the Presidential Gold Service Award for the past three years. In her spare time, she enjoys art, t raveling, hiking, and snorkeling.
