Independent Distribution Collective presents our 60th Solicitation just in time for late summer placement (our fifth of this year). We are excited about many of these new releases and are very proud to have a handful of great artists joining IDC. Please note we moved both our physical and warehouse locations in early August 2013. Katie Garibaldi - Follow Your Heart CD

Based in San Francisco, this determined and enthusiastic singer/songwriter/guitarist is an avid national touring performer who has amassed a devoted fan base, due in large part to her engaging live shows and a personal connection to her listeners through her music. While she’s been compared to household names such as Sheryl Crow, Jewel, and Taylor Swift, Katie has a charismatic musical style all her own wherein her equally pop and country-tinged folk-rock gives her a distinct and edgy sound—Americana with sparkling and memorable melodies.

MKRV - W.A.Y. CD
Who cares about good music in Russia? Nobody, that’s who. Once upon a time in the little town of Moscow, Dima, an up-and-coming singer/songwriter, composed simple songs and recorded them using the microphone from his gaming headphones. On one occasion his childhood friend Narek, who played piano and keyboards, decided to join him. Thus began the story of MKRV. The album begins with the song All this Time, which is in the best traditions of Paul Simon. The song Warmth Around You contains references to U2, and the instrumental Couple of Sparrows submerges the listener into a mysterious world of wind, loneliness, and concentration.

Rocker-T - The Hurban Warrior of Peace: Part Konkrete CD
In musical and lyrical harmony with time and space, Rocker-T finishes an epic journey with his fourth installment from “The Hurban Warrior of Peace” series, ":Part Konkrete.” Rocker-T whetted the appetite of the globe with the powerful EPs “From Brooklyn to Oakland” in December of 2012, "Still Burn Da Weed" in April 2014, and the LP “The Hurban Warrior of Peace: Part Roots” in June 2013, all to much acclaim. He now releases the grand musical offering entitled “The Hurban Warrior of Peace: Part Konkrete.” The LP features many more of Rocker-T’s talented friends including the artists KRS-One, Marlon Asher, Jamalski, Mykah Montgomery, Zahira Soul and Cutty Ranks,and producers G2, DSB, Jah Yzer, Doyle Johnson, EL Kool Kyle, DJ Prophecy,and Roommate Justin.

Ziggi Recado - Therapeutic CD
On May 20th, Ziggi Recado released his fourth studio album, Therapeutic on Zion High Productions. The album is produced entirely by Zion I Kings & features a slew of solid guest appearances. Therapeutic includes 13 total tracks with 4 guest appearances from Lutan Fyah, Vaughn Benjamin (of Midnite), Taranchyla & Earl 16. This is his first full length release since his 2011 self-titled record & his first album since splitting from his longtime producer, Rock ‘N Vibes. Growing up on the Caribbean island of St. Eustatius, the young Ricardo Blijden was given the nickname Ziggi by his grandparents who raised him.

BPos - Positive Beings CD
BPos is back with their 5th full-length release, "Positive Beings." It's been 2 years since their last release, "Pos Tapes the Album." During this time, the group has grown artistically and physically, adding a fifth member. A female member to be exact. Enter Vocalist and Rapper, Gyrl Ab'Strakt. Earning her status of the first female member of BPos, Ab'Strakt brings more balance to BPos' already smooth and unique sound. From start to finish, this album takes you through a radio broadcast on BPos radio, featuring various well-known bay area dj's such as Billy Jam and Kevvy Kev. Musically speaking, this album is thought provoking and very danceable from start to finish.

Taxes - It Never Ends CD
It Never Ends is the vital new seven song collection from San Francisco based indie rock band TAXES. It's a compelling, emotionally wrought, and luminous album. Mixed by Danny Seim of Menomena and engineered by Ryan Williams (Alkaline Trio, Pink, etc.), it features some of the most satisfying production you're bound to hear this year. Bay Area native Robby Cronholm is the songwriter and lead singer of Taxes. His past efforts include singing/songwriting in seminal 90s indie rock band crumb and a brief career in advertising.

After more than a decade of helping other artists and staying in the background, Georgette comes to the forefront as a songwriter and a soulful vocalist with her debut album titled "Come By Here". This female gospel artist has strong soulful vocals complimented with a muscular rhythm section, and engaging hook lines and choruses. "Come By Here" is a collection that includes power ballads with a crowd-pleasing arrangement and high energy outros.
