Fun Fact 1 The very first classes at TRS were in people s homes

Fun Fact 2 The first 5th grade graduating class only had 12 students This year s graduating class will have 43 students that s 31 more students

Fun Fact 3 Bentley a bulldog was also a member of the first graduating class and he even wore a cap and gown to graduation

Ms Kelly Banik is the current Head of School Fun Fact 4 The Raleigh School has only had 4 Heads of School Mrs Harriet Lasher was the very first Head of School at TRS The Elementary campus is named in her honor

Fun Fact 5 The first year that there were two classes to graduate was 2005 before that there was only one class per grade That means that these two rooms sat empty for awhile

Fun Fact 6 In 1996 Hurricane Fran delayed construction of The Raleigh School s new campus where we currently are when the storm caused large trees to fall on the administration building

Fun Fact 7 Before the gym was built graduation used to take place off campus Classes would have graduation at places such as NC State Cardinal Gibbons and Athens Drive High School
