The Ottoman Empire was SPREAD ACROSS many countries STARTING from Austria in THE NORTH Egypt in the south Morocco in THE WEST and Iran from EAST These were the four corners of their land

The Arabs were more LOYAL to the Turks than were the other subject races on account of their COMMON RELIGION

They lived in peace had everything they wanted and were treated the SAME WAY the Ottomans people were treated However The Arabs didn t want to ruled by someone who is a FOREIGNER

Therefore one of the Sir Henry McMahon the BRITISH COMMISSION ARAB RULERS in Egypt The letter asks the help from the British to HELP the Arabs to gain their Sharif Hussein of Mecca sent a letter to NATIONALISM

At that time WORLD WAR 1 was taking place Therefore Sharif Hussein of Mecca and Sir Henry McMahon planed to make the Arab join the war to OVERTHROW and DISMISS the Ottomans out of the ARAB LANDS

The joining of the Arabs in the war lead to the creation of the ARAB REVOLT The Arab Revolt is the war were all the Arabs had fought against the OTTOMAN EMPIRE

For their COOPERATION British the Arabs were to secure ASSISTANCE and RECOGNITION of an INDEPENDENT ARAB STATE
