Taking Advantage of Solar Energy Solar panels are becoming more economical and efficient and will be a major part of this development &&

Page 15

Solar Tiles The next step in capturing solar energy An innovative version of the technology is the introduction of solar panel roof tiles. These small photovoltaic panels are shaped to look like normal roof tiles while absorbing sunlight in the same way as solar panels. They are the perfect solution for those who appreciate the idea of generating their own electricity via photovoltaic solar power &&

Page 16

Solar Energy Storage There are rapid developments in battery storage systems providing new and innovative methods. This allows excess harvested energy to be stored at low use periods and brought into use when needed Tesla power wall is one of the most advanced sophisticated systems &&

Tree Preservation One of the key benefits of this scheme is the preservation of all of the existing trees plus the planting of a further 500 trees around and within the development area Nearly all of the trees shown in this image already exist on the site. It is the intention to preserve them all and enhance the rural nature of the site &&

Page 20

Benefits for the local community This development will contain a number of new footpaths and cycle routes that are open for public use. It is envisaged that these will be extended in due course to provide a safe route from the development to the village centre (This is subject to agreement with other land owners but the response is positive so far) Eden Brook runs along the southern end of the development and we would like to provide A nature trail between the A22 and Jacks Bridge subject to agreement from other land Owners. This area of approximately 5 acres will also be dedicated to re-wilding &&

Rowlands Park proximity Rowlands Park is slightly outside the recognised settlement area of Lingfield. However, it will provide 40 quality homes in a splendid environment and will not impact on the dynamics of the village. It is approved in principal by the upcoming Neighbourhood plan and as can be seen below is in close proximity to two of the three other proposed developments (the 4th is just north of here) This is also a ground breaking project in as much as it is carbon free and takes maximum advantage of ecological developments Racecourse Lincolns Mead Development Lingfield House Rowlands Park &&

The Objective The aim of this development is to form a group of eco houses in a rural setting and create a nice place to live. Lingfield is already a great place to live and there is much concern about retaining its character whilst meeting the need for more and more housing. The approach to the housing market in these times appears to be to build as many houses as possible at the lowest cost. Thus there is an ongoing trend of achieving quantity over quality. We believe this project is an opportunity to address these concerns and let people control their own building and designs within the framework of the Lingfield design code. By doing so an asset will be created as an example of the way to future ecological success &&
