We currently work with The Ohio State University to trial all new possible additions, this ensures they perform to the Lily Looks standards before we will add them to the program.Lily Looks varieties are tested 4 times during each year, 1 test per season. Tests have demonstrated that the Lily Looks series can be forced year-round, any time. Even when forced for retail sale during the Valentine’s holiday, the crops showed minimal decrease in bud count and no leaf yellowing. With such results, you can increase your business with forced pot lilies by introducing them at new times to the market.Temperature trialing ensures we select the right va-rieties, including their ability to be stored in a box at cool (41F) and warm (68F) temperatures. The post harvest treatment results indicated almost no leaf yellowing aer they were stored at these tempera-tures for a period of 10 days. This means they can handle the low light shipping periods without any deterioration of the plant’s quality.Testing Bulb size determines the number of bud/flowers you get per bulb. The number of flowers you can expect are mentioned in the program pages. In addition to more foliage, larger bulbs also give the plant larger foliage. Most common sizes used in the Lily Looks program are 10/12cm - 12/14cm for the asiatics and 12/14cm and 14/16cm for the LA hybrid and the Orientals.
