Usually the bigger the better, but with bulbs, the key is to find the right size that works for your program.DahliasIn the case of a dahlia the tuber size is listed as #1’s. In reality the tubers are sold by weight. Our #1 tubers are always above 100 grams. The larger the tuber the more sprouts you will get. This results in a higher harvest yield.CallasBulb sizing for calla tend to be running on the high-er side of the harvest. Calla crops tend to give you bulbs of 12cm to 24cm. For the cut calla program most growers grow 18/20 & 20+. Even though the initial input is higher, the larger bulbs will produce more yieldand will become a better investment. LiliesBulb size determines the number of buds/flowers youget per bulb. The number of flowers you can expect ismentioned in the program pages. Larger bulbs will give the plants fuller and larger foliage. The most common sizes used in cut lily programs are 12/14cm for LA hybrid and 14/16cm for Orientals and OT’s.
