HENRI W TARTT SR Henri Wayne Tartt Sr Butch was born on Thursday March 4 1943 in Cleveland Ohio to parents Jean Tartt n6e Dunlop and Hermon Tartt He was their only child At age 79 Henri went home to be with the Lord on Thursday June 23 2022 He leaves behind a lot of people that love him Sherry his beloved wife of 57 years children Carlito Sr Henri Jr and Jennifer siblings via Milton Sr Milton Jr and Deborah six grandchildren eight great grandchildren and many nieces nephews cousins friends and colleagues Now Henri has joined his parents and deceased son Anthony Sr in the hereafter Henri Sr lived and worked in Cleveland Ohio He was the Supervising Chemist Chief of Microbiology for the Cleveland Water Department licensed by the State of Ohio and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with an emphasis on Microbiology from The Ohio State University He ensured that that the quality of water for hundreds of thousands of Clevelanders was suitable for drinking bathing and cooking Henri belonged to Saint Dominic s Catholic Church He was a lover of the arts and enjoyed nature walks with his wife family fishing trips photography and was a hunting show enthusiast Henri was also an exceptional guitarist and singer Indeed when he was just 16 years old Sherry saw him on the Gene Carroll Show singing the The Masquerade is Over He won a chance to sing on the next few shows American Idol style Ironically they had never even met when she saw him on TV talk about a twist of fate Henri sounded much like the great Johnny Mathis whose songs he sang around the house throughout the years Henri also formed a rock band called Wayne and the Matadors where he was the lead singer and played lead guitar He absolutely loved a variety of music such as Chicago the Fifth Dimension Al Green and Queen He often would shum on his guitar and mimic the guitar riffs of a song he was a talented man

During the late 1970 s through the mid 1980 s Henri had a calling from God to preach to people Using his CB radio he preached Sunday sermons called The Message of Hope Henri touched many lives with his broadcasts many of whom he believed probably did not regularly receive the Word of God due to their lifestyle or traveling professions He ll always be the Reverend King Solomon Henri s reputation as a top microbiologist and chemist was evidenced even in his retirement He received a call from the legendary TV show 60 Minutes Dan Rather asked Henri to conduct research regarding the identification treatment of hospital patients with Legionnaire s disease Mr Rather told Henri that he would appear on 60 Minutes to discuss his findings However since Henri was already well into re tirement and had no laboratory of his own to conduct research he politely declined Mr Rather s offer In 2012 one of Henri s most seminal contributions to society was the creation of his website henriwtartt com Therein Henri wrote articles about science life evolution the social sciences religion and other scholarship Henri corresponded with college professors and medical doctors at some of the top universities hospitals and laboratories in America regarding his articles findings and theories To conclude Henri had the last laugh when he retired with full pension and got to relax with his wife Sherry for 25 years He was the total package and often took advantage of it Henri s mother used to tell him God bless the child that has got his own And so he did Henri Sr died in his own house in his favorite chair C Captain my aptain our fearful trip is done The ship has weathered every rack the prize we sought is won The Family
