All Pennsylvania real estate licensees(salesperson, associate broker, broker)must renew their license every twoyears. The current renewal periodbegan June 1, 2024, and endsMay 31, 2026.The Pennsylvania Real EstateCommission requires all real estatelicensees (including brokers andassociate brokers) to complete 14 hoursof education each renewal period. To renew their licenses, licensees mustcomplete 14 hours of continuingeducation, including the required topicsoutlined in the Pennsylvania State RealEstate Commission special notice.During this renewal cycle (‘24-’26), outof the 14 required continuing educationcredits, licensees must complete PACommission approved 2 hours in FairHousing and 3 hours in AgencyRelationships. The remaining hoursmust come from accredited electivecourses.

This course will expand yourknowledge of negotiation in PA real estatetransactions, prepare you to give your clients moreoptions, and make the best use of your tools. Thiscourse will focus on the offers/agreementsbetween buyers and sellers. The Agreement of Sale(ASR) and addenda are VERY flexible tools thatprofessional licensees should use with skill. This 3.5-hour continuing educationcourse provides a practical foundation in municipalzoning laws, equipping agents with the knowledgeto guide clients through zoning requirements,permit processes, and potential regulatorychallenges. Participants will learn how to interpretzoning ordinances, assess dimensional regulations,and identify factors that may impact a property’suse. The course also covers zoning appeals,variance requests, and strategies for effectivelyadvising clients on compliance and developmentopportunities.

The Pennsylvania Real EstateCommission has developed 14 requiredhours of mandatory continuingeducation course content for alllicensees in their first renewal cycle.This provision affects anyone licensedon or after December 1, 2023. This isthe only license renewal educationrequirement for licensees in their firstrenewal.The 14-hour Real World Real Estate program isdesigned to provide students with a higher level ofknowledge and understanding regarding key areas ofreal estate practice. It will bridge the gap betweentextbook licensing education and the real world ofreal estate. And help you meet the state educationrequirements.This two-day course fulfills the real estatecommission prescribed education requirement forall licensees during their first renewal. No additionaleducation is required for licensees in their firstrenewal.

If the first license is issued in the last six months of the 24-26renewal period (December 1, 2025 – May 31, 2026), the licensee does NOT have to complete continuing education. However, the licensee must complete the renewal application andpay the appropriate fees to the Real Estate Commission.
