2 to the 8th annual 235 Smaller Works Show! Our annual holiday show began as a way to celebrate the move to our Central Avenue location in Whitefish—the title and theme of the show are a nod to our address: 235 Central Avenue. Each piece of original artwork in the show is 235 square inches or smaller, and that is the only common element! We present to you this year’s colleciton, over 100 works created specifically for this event by both our represented artists and a select group of invited guests whose work we deeply admire.WELCOMEThe works in this catalog represent a diverse range of styles, media, and subject matter, from traditional landscapes to small sculptures to a painting of donuts! Whether you are looking for a gift for someone special, something to add to your collection, or maybe falling in love with original art for the very first time—this show is for you! We wish you the best in the upcoming holiday season, and we hope that you are as inspired and delighted by the 2024/2025 colelction as we are!Derek, Elizabeth, Tula, Bryce, & the FoR teamWARMLY,

These are productive trips for me; I usually come home with a few dozen sketches. Some of these are worthy of a little touch up in the studio to make them complete statements. Glacier is my favorite place to paint and it is my hope that viewers will see my reverence for it in these paintings.”J E,  I, G   S M& S. M A

Early summer has the does trailing their little ones into my yard, where they find shelter, food, and a place of refuge from the craziness of Red Lodge in tourist season. I couldn’t resist painting these twins as they chilled out on a warm, misty morning.”J P,  F B

46“My impetus has always been to observe and document the ignored spaces or the mundane in the midst of schedules and movement of urban spaces. Over time, urinals organically entered into my painting subjects which aligns within this vision. The low hanging fruit was that the urinal, as an art form, is almost never seen on art gallery walls. It’s gross, right? My challenge is to paint the urinal in a way that doesn’t immediately receive repulsed reactions, but rather delay the viewer to ponder its symbolism of the esoteric and rejected. As a contemporary realist, I consider it more of a success if the viewers are perplexed and confused rather than hitting the easy ‘like’ button. There are no buttons for that.”D Y,  U 013  U 010Urinal 010 12 x 12 oilby Donald Yatomi$1,200Urinal 013 12 x 5 oilby Donald Yatomi$900
