Project GoalBuild a sturdy three-classroom building to meet the instructionalneeds of 98 kindergarten through sixth-grade students and fiveteachers in Las Casitas, Honduras.Project UpdateFood For the Poor (FFTP) is pleased to inform you that the buildingof the new Francisco Morazan School has been completed. Yourgoodwill made the following components possible: Completed preliminary activities Poured the concrete foundation Erected concrete block walls, including the beans and columnswith finishes Poured the concrete flooring Installed the roof and roof structure, including rain gutters anddownspouts Installed windows and doorsInstalled electrical and lighting connections Installed front metallic columns for hallwayPainted the school buildingConstructed gender-specific restrooms with ceramic tiling Installed sinkInstalled plumbing and sewage, including all fixturesDelivered biosecurity materialsConducted supervised visitsCreated and installed project signThanks to your generosity, students now have the opportunity toreach new academic heights while studying in a nurturingenvironment that enables them to thrive.
It was previously reported that the construction of the last 15 houses had been underway.
Since the last report, the houses mentioned above are reaching completion; they haven't been painted yet, as the paint wasn't available for a couple of months.
