Field Impact ReportSafe Water Honduras El MarañonOlancho Dept, Honduras
Following the last update, the decision was made to move forward with installing a reverse osmosis system in the community of El Maranon. Untreated water was brought from El Maranon to a nearby community, where a Reverse Osmosis is installed to confirm that it would effectively treat the water from El Marañon as well. The results were good and provided safe high-quality water. The equipment was ordered and shipped to Honduras. The equipment arrived in Honduras the week of 7/23 and is in the process of being released by customs to the Water Mission team in El Progreso. Assuming the equipment is released, the installation of the Reverse Osmosis system is planned to begin the week of August 14th. We are looking forward to seeing safe water flow in El Marañon. Thank you for your partnership on this project.
