On Your Wedding Day - On the day of your wedding, follow these tips to ensure you look stunning inevery photograph . . .Stay Relaxed and Enjoy the MomentYour emotions will shine through in your photos, so try to stay relaxed andenjoy your special day. Take deep breaths, smile genuinely, and savor eachmoment. Trust your photographer to capture the magic.Posing TipsPractice posing in front of a mirror to find your most flattering angles. Standup straight, elongate your neck, and gently angle your body towards thecamera. Avoid stiff or forced poses; instead, opt for natural and candid shots.Lighting and TimingGood lighting is crucial for stunning photos. Work with your photographer toschedule shoots during the golden hour (shortly after sunrise or beforesunset) for soft, flattering light. If indoor photos are necessary, ensure thereis ample natural light or proper artificial lighting.Touch-Ups and Wardrobe ChecksKeep a small kit with essentials like blotting papers, lipstick, and a hairbrushfor quick touch-ups throughout the day. Check your attire periodically toensure everything is in place and looking perfect.2

3Smile with your eyes. This does work. For your more serious-looking portraits, this will help convey the warmth and joyof the occasion.Hold something. Luckily, you'll likelyhave your bouquet to keep your armsoccupied, which can help preventawkward posing when you don't knowwhat to do with your hands.Avoid the camera lens. Looking directlyinto the camera, especially from astraight-on angle, is often not asflattering. Try looking away, staring intoyour beloved's eyes, or even giving thecamera a playful sideways glance. Relax your face. As happy as you are, there can still be a lot of tension on thebig day, especially if you're notcomfortable having your picture taken. However, you certainly don't want tolook strained in your photographs. Asyou start to feel stiff, close your eyes andtake a deep breath in between shots.Looking great in your wedding photos involves a combination of preparation, relaxation, and professional guidance. I am there to ensure that your weddingday is captured beautifully and that you look stunning in every shot.Posing &Photography Tips

Stand Up Straight. The secret to more flattering photos? Great posture.Standing up straight, with your shoulders back and your chin forward, ensuresyou look your best in every snapshot.Don't Lock Your Knees or Elbows. While good posture is important, physicaltension doesn't make for beautiful photos.Watch the Angle of Your Chin. A common mistake some people make is holdingtheir chin too high or tilting their heads too far where it doesn't look natural. You might think you're making your chin look more angular and flattering, butthe result tends to be awkward and uncomfortable. Keep Your Jacket Buttoned. Anyone wearing a jacket should ensure at least onebutton is fastened during photos. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule, but I'll instruct you to open it when the shot warrants a more casual approach.

Make Sure Your Pockets Are Empty. Leave your cell phone, keys, andwallet at home. Bulging pockets take away from his outfit's elevated ortailored look and can be a distraction when looking at the photos. While Iwill always remind you and your guests who are being photographed toempty your pockets, doing so before you start the photo session willspeed everything up.Lose the Hair Ties and Smart Watches. Check your wrists before the photosession begins. Hair ties and smartwatches, in particular, really take awayfrom the look of a photo.Point Your Feet Toward Your Partner. A simple adjustment you can makefor more intimate photos is to keep an eye on the angle of your feet.Get Close. Distance is a big mistake. In photos, the closer you can get, thebetter. Always be connected and touching in portraits, whether it'sholding hands, connecting your heads, or something similar.Don't Try to Pose. It may seem counterintuitive but I can emphasize theimportance of not trying to post enough. I feel it's best that a coupledoesn't overthink posing. If there are ways that feel natural for you to betogether-maybe wrapping your arm around your partner's arm or leaningon your partner's shoulder-don't be afraid to do that. This may seemcontrary, but what feels the most tried-and-true for me is not posing atall. The longer I've been a photographer, I realize that my favorite imagesof a finished gallery don't come from a pose. They come from naturallyliving in a moment.6
