Since 2016, under the leadership of the IJG, the team has grown into a volunteer community harnessing over 150 individuals from TBE’s membership, neighboring towns, local temples, and churches.e IJG’s resettlement volunteers have relied on JFS’ expertise to build community networks to find and set up new homes, enroll in public schools and ESL classes, identify employment opportunities, establish financial and banking relationships, gain access to public benefits, and register for local food pantries and community resources. rough years of partnership, JFS has provided the IJG and TBE volunteers with training and supervision to continually strengthen and refine both volunteer and resettlement efforts. e success of this impressive collaboration has served as a model inspiring other communities across the US and the world to act and build sustaining partnerships.
