Dear Friends in Christ,Your church is vital. As a God-centered community of worship and service, your congregation stands as a beacon of light and love in your neighborhood. You are the heart and hands of Jesus in the world, and we are grateful for your faithfulness. The National Association of Congregational Christian Churches (NACCC) exists to assist and empower your ministry. While we are many churches, we are united in covenant through Christ. It is in the everyday relationships and outreach of each local church that the Kingdom of God is made known. Together, we extend that mission in ways far greater than any of us could alone. This past year, the NACCC has continued to grow and strengthen the ministries that support you. We were honored to gather in Spokane, Washington, for our 70th Annual Meeting and Conference. The Pacic Northwest Association welcomed us with warmth and hospitality as we connected in person and virtually to conduct the important work of the Association. We welcomed new churches, worshiped, learned, and fellowshipped – grateful for the opportunity to be together in spirit and purpose.Throughout the year, your Association has remained active and responsive. The Mission and Outreach Ministry Council (MOMC) continued vital work responding to communities impacted by natural disasters, war, and hunger through One Great Hour of Sharing. Many participated in hands-on recovery work, while others supported missions across the globe and engaged with our Cultural Exploration Ministry to build relationships across borders. The Growth Ministry Council launched a new Task Team for Church Revitalization and Church Planting, laying the foundation for long-term support for congregations. This council has been dedicated to nurturing both new and established churches through prayer, connection, and workshops, including those offered at the Annual Meeting. They also played a key role in supporting the NAPF/HOPE young adult gathering, which met during the Spokane conference.Meanwhile, the Vitality Ministry Council provided ten grants to support local church initiatives and hosted the Convocation for pastors. Their work has strengthened leadership transitions, enhanced budgeting practices, and supported increased engagement in the Russell Preaching Award. The council has also encouraged new participation in the Leaders Table and Lay Ministry Training Program, ensuring that the path forward is vibrant and strong. We are deeply thankful for the many volunteers, ministry leaders, and staff who pour their time, talent, and heart into the life of the Association. It has been a privilege to witness rsthand the dedication of our churches and the good work being done in Christ’s name.As we reect on the year, we are lled with gratitude and hope. Your faithfulness inspires us. Your church matters. Together, we will continue to bring the light of Christ into the world, strengthened by our shared mission and sustained by God’s grace.Blessings,Rev. Dear Congregationalists, As we close out the 2024-2025 scal year, it is my honor and privilege to issue this brief report on behalf of the Board of Directors of the NACCC. The Board of Directors is responsible for the scal and administrative oversight of the Association and has been quite busy throughout this pivotal year of transition in our fellowship. While seeing to the many ongoing needs of the Association, the major focus of our energy this past year has revolved around the transitioning staff at our NACCC ofce in Oak Creek, WI.Upon the announcement of the departure of the Rev. Dr. Ashley Cleere as our Executive Director, the board was able to quickly connect with the Rev. Dr. Barry Szymanski, who jumped in as our interim Executive Director. Barry faithfully and diligently lled that role for a period of nine months, beginning just before the Annual Meeting and Conference in June of 2024. He saw our staff through that time of transition, addressed a number of timely needs and opportunities as they arose, and assisted in the hiring of our new Executive Assistant, Sarah Sobecke, who has been with us since last fall (welcome, Sarah!). We are deeply grateful for the thoughtfulness, skill, and heart that Barry brought to this role. With Barry lling the role as interim, it was in January, after months of prayerful service and exploration, that our Executive Director Search Committee presented the Board of Directors with their recommendation. On January 28, 2025, the board unanimously and joyfully endorsed that recommendation with the appointment of the Rev. Dr. Gerry Krupp, who began as our full-time Executive Director on March 1, 2025.There is much more that has happened that can be found in other places throughout this Annual Report. Behind it all, however, is a talented and devoted staff and a willing and committed pool of volunteers from our churches across the country. It is a true gift to work with each and every one of these individuals, and the board offers its gratitude to all for the role they play in making the NACCC the blessing that it is to us, to our churches, and to the communities we serve.Dear Members, Donors, and Friends of the NACCC,BIG NEWS! Learn all about the upcoming campaign for The Congregationalist at the Annual Meeting & Conference in St. Louis. Your gift to this campaign will be like two gifts in one. While largely endowing funding for The Congregationalist, it will mean fewer Shared Ministry Funds will be needed to support the voice of Congregationalism.Working alongside the NACCC Board of Directors, we are pleased to be part of the collaborative budgeting process as well as our partnership with the NACCC in the Congregational Investment Trust (CIT). NACCC, Foundation, and member church investments combined in the CIT strengthen the nancial position of all of us! In FY2024-2025, the Foundation allocated gifts from donors, as intended, to the NACCC in the amount of $511,038. Of that amount, $374,263 were direct disbursements, and $136,675 was given from the Foundation operating budget. All funds directly further projects of the NACCC, Ministry Councils, The Congregationalist, the Center for Congregational Leadership, and worthy new programs. We are pleased to announce that nancial visioning is front and center as we look forward to the launch of our upcoming campaign for The Congregationalist.Thank you for continuing a longstanding tradition of generosity through your contributions! With abiding gratitude, we will honor the timeless wishes of donors whose passion and foresight result in tangible resources. Such faithful commitment, combined with the conscientious work of staff and volunteer leadership, continues to sustain the intangible richness of the Congregational Way.Laura Hamby President, Board of Governors Congregational FoundationFROM OUR BOARDSA MESSAGERev.
