Today the League helps morethan 22,000 children every yearthrough our five programs thatprovide clothing, blankets,grooming products, books,school supplies, arts enrichment,and education opportunities. Ourprograms bring hope, joy, self-esteem, and increased scholasticengagement to the children andyoung adults we serve. Since 1919, AssistanceLeague® of Los Angeles hasmobilized tens of thousandsof member volunteers toraise funds and providecritical need services tochildren and young adultsexperiencing homelessness,foster care, and extremepoverty. Our ImpactEach year Assistance League of Los Angeles helps more than children and young adults in Los Angeles through our five programs below:College Scholarship Program 70+Provides seniors experiencing homelessness from Los AngelesUnified School District (LAUSD) with annual funds to make theirdream of a degree come true!Operation School Bell9,000+Provides impoverished elementary school students with a school-week’s worth of new clothing, grooming kits, shoes, socks,underwear, books, and more!Brings elementary school children from underserved communitiesto watch the magic of theatre performed by members of our NineO'Clock Players Auxiliary.
