Its objective is to encourage a higher standard of riding throughout Pony Club and to stimulate among the future generation, a greater interest in riding as a sport and recreation. Entries close on Sunday, 10th August 2025 at 11:00pm. • Each Club and Zone must submit a Pony Club WA Active Riding Championship Team Spreadsheet and Qualification Declaration. This must be endorsed by the Club President/Secretary and the Chief Coach/Coordinator. The spreadsheet must be submitted by Sunday, 10th August 2025 at 11:00pm. via JotForm https://form.jotform.com/242402910071847 • If a rider enters a class that is not endorsed by their Club, their entry will be deleted. • The Chairperson and Committee members do not have authority to accept/forward late entries. • PPMG Team member nomination is a requirement on the Club spreadsheet. This includes composite riders in composite teams. • An updated declaration form to be handed in at the briefing if the team has changed since entering. REFERENCE DOCUMENTS • Prince Phillip Mounted Games Rule Book • Novelty Rules • State Competition General Regulations • Pony Club Australia National Gear Rules • Pony Club WA Appendixes to support the PCA National Gear Rules QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS • Attend a minimum of three hours at three separate Working Rallies within the 12-month period required by the event or competition, two of which must be at the club at which they are a member; • Participate in at least one ridden session at each Working Rally; • If riding two horses at a Working Rally, participate in at least one ridden session on each horse; and • If a riding member has achieved their C*/K Proficiency Certificate then a two rally qualification will apply. • A maximum of two horses/ponies may be ridden by one rider at any Working Rally CANTEEN The canteen will be open on both days. SATURDAY NIGHT DINNER Saturday Night Dinner: Light dinner will be available from the canteen from 5pm-7pm. YARDS AND CAMPING Yards are $10 per weekend per horse/pony. First in first served. Yards must be left clean and be free of manure and leftover feed. ALL manure and hay must be removed from the grounds. Camping is $10 per family for the weekend. Horses must not be allowed to dig holes (e.g. when yarded or in float yards). Please place all your rubbish in the bins provided and leave your yards and camping area clean and tidy so we can come back to this wonderful location in the future. JACKPOT BARREL There will be a Jackpot Barrel race held on Saturday afternoon. Entry on the day. Fee is $5.00 PER RUN. Maximum of 2 runs per rider/pony combination. WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK A WWC Check is required by a person if they engage in certain paid or unpaid work with children, described as ‘child-related work’ under the WWC Act. Volunteers engaged in helper duties at Pony Club WA State Championships where the usual duties involve, or are they likely to involve, contact with a child, such as Team Manager, Gear Checking, Marshalling will be required to have a current WWCC unless a parent exemption applies. Parent exemption applies if you are volunteering and have a child under the age of 18 actively involved in the event you are volunteering at. Team Managers for whom a parent exemption does not apply MUST have a current Working with Children Check. RESERVATION OF RIGHT The State Active Riding Committee reserves the right: • To cancel any class or event. • To amend the placings awarded according to class numbers. • To divide any class. • To transfer competitors between classes. • To alter the advertised times. • To refuse any entry with a valid explanation.

QUALIFICATIONS NOVELTIES For all Novelties including Pony Club Mount • One horse, one rider rule will apply for Novelties. • Horse and rider combinations must qualify as per the Working Rally Definition. • Rider’s age as at 1 January 2025. Qualifications must be gained prior to the close of entries. • Each Club within a Zone may enter riders in each age group for the Zone Finals. The Horse/Rider combination to qualify in each age group as above. • Zones may enter a maximum of THREE teams per age group, per event, excluding the Pony Club Mount, where only ONE Zone Team per age group will be accepted.

• The Zone Team in each section for the Championships will consist of the three best individual scores on the day of the Zone Finals or the riders with the highest scores who are able to attend the Championships. NOVELTY ENTRIES Novelty entries are via JustGo online entry system and are completed by the individual rider. Clubs and riders will need to co-ordinate their entries with their Zone Co-ordinator who will nominate their teams. Clubs will need to coordinate entries with their Zone Coordinator. NOVELTY SCORING The Winners will be the ZONE TEAM in each age group in each of the 5 novelties gaining the LOWEST total time (the fastest two times per team to count). PONY CLUB MOUNT / ACTIVE RIDING CHALLENGE - the Winners will be the ZONE TEAM in each age group gaining the HIGHEST total score (ALL 3 team members’ scores to count). HIGH POINT ZONE TEAMS A trophy will be awarded to the High Point Zone Team in each of the three age groups for the five Novelty events and Pony Club Mount/Active Riding Challenge. If a Zone has more than one team entered in an age group, each team will be counted separately; scores from Zone teams in the same age group will not be added together. DRESS – NOVELTIES For the 5 novelty events- competitors must ride in their FORMAL ZONE Uniforms. If there are insufficient Zone Uniforms for all team members, then formal club uniforms are allowed. DRESS – PONY CLUB MOUNT Pony Club Mount and Active Riding Challenge – competitors must ride in their formal Zone Uniforms. SADDLERY – NOVELTIES As per current National Pony Club Gear Checking rules. TEAM MANAGERS • One Team Manager to be nominated for all age groups for all novelties on each day (i.e. one Zone Team Manager for all teams in all age groups on Saturday and one Zone Team Manager for all teams in all age groups on Sunday. – not a separate Manager for each team) and MUST be nominated on the Team Manager Nomination Form. • Pony Club Mount is to have one Zone Team Manager for all age groups and MUST be nominated on the Team Manager Nomination Form. HELPERS • PPMG Helper Duties: Each team will be asked to supply a Line Steward and a Helper as part of the Arena Party. These roles may be shared and there will be a designated hand over time slot. PPMG Helper Duties will be organised directly with your Club and or Team Manager after the close of entries. All helpers must be over the age of 16 years and capable of performing the duty selected. • Novelties Helper Duties: Each Zone team represented will be asked to supply one helper for the Novelties. Novelty Helper Duties will be via SignUp and the link will be emailed directly to riders. Each rider must supply one Helper. All helpers must be over the age of 16 years and capable of performing the duty selected. • Working with Children Check: Volunteer helpers 18 years of age and over that will be having contact with children in the line of their duty and for whom a parent exemption does not apply MUST have a current Working with Children Check. There is also Off The Track leaderboard which is compiled from the sports leaderboards. To be eligible you will need to add your OTT mount’s racing name and/or passport number in your registration.
