Ivy Tech ASAP DayEvent Run Time: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PMAcademic Information Fair:12:45 – 2:00 PMTarget Population:Prospective high-achieving transfer students graduating from Ivy Tech Community Colleges across the state of Indiana.Event Description:Ivy Tech Community College’s Associate Accelerated Program (ASAP) helps qualied high school graduates earn a two-year associate degree in just 11 months. Counselor Connection DayEvent Run Time: 8:30 AM – 2:15 PMAcademic Information Sessions:Details coming soonTarget Population:High school counselors (no students).Event Description:Understanding the integral role high school counselors play in the college application process, Counselor Connection Day oers them a dedicated visit focused on their professional growth. By showcasing Ball State’s strong academic programs, we equip counselors with the information they need to condently recommend our university to their students, strengthening our recruitment eorts.Your Admissions ContactBrooke HuserAssociate Director of Admissions Undergraduate RecruitmentBrooke plans and is responsible for our Counselor Connection event. This event occurs late in the fall, so expect outreach from Brooke early in the fall semester.Fun Facts: Brooke came to Ball State as a social studies teaching major from Central Florida. Admitted Student DayEvent Run Time: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PMAcademic Information Sessions:Departments determine time and location of academic information breakout sessions and/or workshops.Who is this event for?High school seniors admitted to Ball State.Students’ families are strongly encouraged to attend as well.Event Description:Admitted Student Day is a campus-wide open house designed to cultivate a sense of community and belonging among students admitted to Ball State. By connecting them and their families with all aspects of the University – student life, academics, and resources – this event aims to strengthen their commitment and solidify their enrollment decisions. Departments organize breakout sessions and workshops, determining their specic times and locations.Your Admissions ContactSara BarkerSenior Assistant Director of Admissionsslbarker@bsu.eduSara plans and is responsible for Admitted Student Day. This huge event occurs every April for admitted students. Sara begins contacting campus partners in December.Fun Facts: Sara is a two-time Ball State graduate, holding her bachelor’s in news journalism and—most recently—a Master of Arts degree in adult and community education. Her rst professional role was as a newspaper reporter. Explore Ball State DayEvent Run Time: 10:00 AM – 2:45 PMAcademic Information Sessions:11:00 – 11:40 AMTarget Population:Select high schools with emerging or growing populations thatcould widen our outreach to potential students.Event Description:The Undergraduate Admissions for Community Outreach team hosts this event to welcome students from target high schools, oering a campus visit experience that might otherwise be inaccessible. This program enables faculty and sta to engage with a wider spectrum of potential students and showcase the opportunities available at Ball State.Your Admissions ContactPaloma SutterAssistant Director of Admissions for Community Outreachpbsutter@bsu.eduPaloma plans and is responsible for Explore Ball State Day. This event for students occurs each spring. You can expect outreach from Paloma starting in January. Fun Facts: Paloma is half-Chilean, and is bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience BSU DayEvent Run Time: 9:00 AM – 2:45 PMAcademic Information Sessions:10:15 – 11:15 AM1:00 – 2:00 PMTarget Population:Rising high school seniors. Students’ families are also welcome.Event Description:Experience BSU Day oers a deep dive into the Ball State academic experience for high school seniors. Participants attend two mock classes led by our faculty, providing a realistic preview of our classroom environment. You can expect to hear from Josh starting in January up through the event day in July. Fun Facts: Josh graduated from Ball State in 2024 as an anthropology major.
