Admitted Student DayEvent Run Time: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PMAcademic Information Sessions:Departments determine time and location of academic information breakout sessions and/or workshops.Who is this event for?High school seniors admitted to Ball State.Students’ families are strongly encouraged to attend as well.Event Description:Admitted Student Day is a campus-wide open house designed to cultivate a sense of community and belonging among students admitted to Ball State. By connecting them and their families with all aspects of the University – student life, academics, and resources – this event aims to strengthen their commitment and solidify their enrollment decisions. Departments organize breakout sessions and workshops, determining their specic times and locations.Your Admissions ContactSara BarkerSenior Assistant Director of Admissionsslbarker@bsu.eduSara plans and is responsible for Admitted Student Day. This huge event occurs every April for admitted students. Sara begins contacting campus partners in December.Fun Facts: Sara is a two-time Ball State graduate, holding her bachelor’s in news journalism and—most recently—a Master of Arts degree in adult and community education. Her rst professional role was as a newspaper reporter. Explore Ball State DayEvent Run Time: 10:00 AM – 2:45 PMAcademic Information Sessions:11:00 – 11:40 AMTarget Population:Select high schools with emerging or growing populations thatcould widen our outreach to potential students.Event Description:The Undergraduate Admissions for Community Outreach team hosts this event to welcome students from target high schools, oering a campus visit experience that might otherwise be inaccessible. Students’ families are also welcome.Event Description:Experience BSU Day oers a deep dive into the Ball State academic experience for high school seniors. Participants attend two mock classes led by our faculty, providing a realistic preview of our classroom environment.
