about the eventEvent NameEventBackgroundEventPurpose2024 5th ANNUAL YOUTH CONFERENCEOur day-long youth conference provides young ladies with the skills theyneed to succeed in the law. The day begins with a networking breakfast,followed by an etiquette workshop before the attendees interact withsuccessful women lawyers, judges, and legislators to hear about theirtools for success and to participate in Girls Rule the Law’s signaturespeed mentoring sessions. The event targets middle and high schoolstudents, although college and law school students would benefit from thenetworking and are invited to mentor the younger ladies.Many girls from underprivileged and underrepresented backgroundsnever meet women lawyers, judges, or legislators, unless they interactwith the criminal justice system as a participant. Our Youth Conferenceprovides a positive introduction to the law and inspires these youngladies to pursue careers in the law. Women continue to beunderrepresented at the highest levels of the law; Girls Rule the Law,Inc. is creating a pipeline into the law for women.
