Measuring Guide - Blinds*If you are thinking of pursuing home automation/motorization for your window coverings, please ask for our in depth wiringlocation guide.MEASURING TIPSMeasurements must be exact to ensure proper fit.Always measure the exact window intended for the treatment as each window opening is unique.Measure each window individually.Always use a 3/4” or 1” steel tape measure and measure to the nearest 1/8”Don’t assume a window is square. Measure the width and write it down, then measure the heightand write it down.Don’t make any deductions.Be sure to specify your mount type: inside (tight size) or outside (finished size)Inside Mount Outside Mount *Shade fits within window frameBe sure the window opening is deep enoughto install the mounting bracket. Measure thewindow diagonally. If the two diagonaldimensions are not exact, it may be necessaryto specify an outside mount for optional lightcontrol and privacy.1.Measure the width inside the window openingat the top, middle and bottom.2.Record the narrowest measurement to ensurethe shade will go up and down.3.Measure the height inside the window openingat the left, right and center.4.Record the shortest measurement to ensurethe shade will fully close without contactingthe window sill.5.*Shade overlaps window openingMeasure the desired width and height. Tominimize light leakage, the shade shouldoverlap the window opening at least 2” oneach side and at the bottom. This may varydepending on the size of your trim and howyou want the shade to be placed.1.When measuring the height, make sure to takeinto account the requirements for mountingthe bracket attachment.2.2
