Bishop:My sister/brother in the faith, do you believe that you are truly called by God and the Church to the lifeand work of ministry in the name of Jesus Christ?I do.Paul the apostle testified, "It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me." Will you endeavor to bediligent in your practice of the Christian life: reading the Bible, continuing steadfastly in prayer, andtaking up your cross daily to follow Christ?I will, with the help of God.Scripture teaches that the Church was devoted to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breakingof bread and the prayers. Will you endeavor faithfully to fulfill your calling among the peoplecommitted to your care: by preaching the word of God and the apostolic faith; and by presiding at thecelebration of baptism and the Lord’s Supper?I will, with the help of God.In scripture, ministers are exhorted to tend the flock of God committed to their care, not by constraintbut willingly, not for selfish gain but eagerly, not by domineering over those in their charge but byexample. Will you endeavor to conduct yourself so that your life isshaped by Jesus Christ, who took the form of a servant for our sake; and will you, with the help of theHoly Spirit, continually rekindle the gift of God that is in you, to make known to all people the gospel ofthe grace of God? IN 1994, HE BECAME A MEMBER OFEDGEFIELD BAPTIST CHURCH UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF PASTOR VICTOR SMITH.DURING HIS EARLY YEARS AT EDGEFIELD, HE CONTRIBUTED TO THE MEN'S CHOIRAND FAITHFULLY SERVED ON THE DEACON BOARD UNTIL HE ANSWERED HIS CALLTO MINISTRY.PASTOR HOSE'S COMMITMENT TO YOUTH LED HIM TO SERVE AS THE YOUTHPASTOR, WHERE, ALONGSIDE HIS WIFE, THEY NURTURED AND GREW A VIBRANTYOUTH BIBLE STUDY AND YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY. THEIR WORKBROUGHT VITALITY AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH TO THE YOUNGER MEMBERS OF THECONGREGATION. BOSTON MET PATRICE WALKER AND WAS MARRIED IN 1986. LATERBOSTON AND PATRICE UNITED WITH BETHLEHEM STAR MB CHURCHUNDER REV. ROSEVELT WATKINS III WHERE BOSTON WAS APPOINTEDTO THE DEACON BOARD. BOSTON SERVED AS AN ORDAINED DEACONFOR 8 YEARS. IN NOVEMBER OF 1999 BOSTON, PATRICE, AND THEIRTHREE SONS MOVED TO FAYETTEVILLE, GA. IN MARCH OF 2000BOSTON AND FAMILY UNITED WITH EBC UNDER PASTOR EDDIETHOMAS. BOSTON SERVED AS A DEACON UNTIL BEING CALLED TOMINISTRY IN 2007. PASTOR-DESIGNATE STANLEY BEGAN HIS WORK IN THE MINISTRY AS A CHILDWHILE ATTENDING GREATER FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH IN CLEVELAND, OHIO. ITWASN'T UNTIL HIS TEENAGE YEARS THAT HE REALIZED THAT THERE WAS A CALLON HIS LIFE TO SERVE GOD. THROUGH HIS MEMBERSHIP AT GREENFORESTCOMMUNITY BAPTIST CHURCH, IN DECATUR, GEORGIA, ROBERT BEGAN TO TRULYUNDERSTAND HIS SPIRITUAL GIFTS OF LEADERSHIP AND DRAMATIC EXPRESSION.ROBERT UTILIZED HIS GIFT FOR CREATIVE EXPRESSION AND LEADERSHIP IN HISSERVICE AS LEADER, MENTOR, AND PERFORMER WITH MOORE ARTS MOVEMENTTHEATER COMPANY FROM 2003- 2008.IN 2008, ROBERT REALIZED THAT THE CALL ON HIS LIFE WAS NOT ONLY TO SERVEGOD, BUT TO MINISTER THE WORD OF GOD. YOUTH PASTOR-DESIGNATEBRITTIANA GREEN Brittiana D. Green affectionately known as Britt, a native of Atlanta, GA, is a proud graduate ofthe Dekalb County Public School System. She was an active member of the Morris BrownCollege Marching Band and a dedicated member of Tau Beta Sigma Band Sorority. Britt holds abachelor’s degree in business administration from Strayer University. She is married to GerryGreen, and they have one daughter, Gabrielle Green along with two God-children Asia Banksand Solomon Chambliss. She is the daughter of Hiram Banks, Sr. and Chalette Mitchell. She is theonly girl with 4 brothers.Britt has been a member of Edgefield Baptist Church since birth. She grew up attending Sundayschool each Sunday and singing in the Leotra Souder children’s choir. Over the years, Britt hasserved many ministries at EBC, most of which involved working with the youth. Her passion tolead and guide young people started early in life as she was always a leader amongst herpeers.Britt is inspired by the saying “believe you can, and you’re halfway there” by TheodoreRoosevelt. Philippians 1:6 resonates with her spirit which says “Being confident of this very thing, that hewhich hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”.
